Brilliancy in Sport, Your favourite moments

Mercy me. The Dark Ravens pulled it off 20-13 at the Titans! 😀

I expected the Saints to beat the Monsters of Midway aka Da Chicago Bears. 21-9.

Tom Brady naturally pulled the team formerly known as the Deadskins apart. 31-23.

Big surprise is the Brownies whacked the Squealers in their frigid home Stadium 48-29. 😱

This year is a cracker. Whatever comes next? I never bet on Superbowl. Spoils the fun. 😀

But they say a Superbowl team is built on DEFENSE.

Badminton restarted ...

Yesterday Badminton World Federation restarted their international tournament series in Bangkok / Thailand. Many matches are accessible via Youtube in 1080 resolution.

Watched German Womens' Double Efler / Herrtrich yesterday in their opening match. Not the best match I could imagine, to say the least. Chose it because of a German team in action.

Strange atmosphere: no crowd, silence in the hall, keeping distance, volunteers in masks + face shields + scrubs ...

If you ever watched videos of a Badminton tournament in Thailand, you know how crazy the crowd can be there. This silence is ... hmm, hard to find a word for it!

Anyway, this one should be the absolute highlight of Day 1 in Bangkok: Womens' Singles PV Sindhu of India vs. Mia Blichfeldt of Denmark. Scheduled for tonight!

To me, this weekend is about FOOTBALL! 🙂

And we ain't talkin' Soccer. It's NFL. 😀

Rams @ Green Bay. I expect the hideous Pack to win this one.

Ravens @ Bills. Confident on the Ravens. The Bills always let you down.

Tom Brady's Bucs @ The Saints. Tough to call what is a divisional rivalry. I think the Saints might squeak it. It's going to be brutal.

The Browns @ The Chiefs. Surely the Chiefs are too good on homefield.

Very exciting weekend.

Oh dear. The Rams having an awful night at snowy Lambeau!

3-16 coming up to half time. 🙄

Aaron Rodgers on fire! But they fluffed the conversion.

As a Vike, I naturally hate the Cheeseheads.

Ah well. TBH, I am more interested in the Ravens tonight. Nevermore! 😀

Young Yan wins against Higgins! 🙂

A star is born.

Fantastic night in Sport. NFL Chiefies beat the Brownies as expected. But suffered a concussion to the Quarterback Patrick Mahomes II. Happily Chad Henne came on and finished the job.

All is not lost for the Chiefs. IIRC, Nick Foles covered a QB loss superbly for the Philadelphia Eagles a coupla years back.

Listening to the cricket now. Oz versus India at the Gabba. Excellent contest. 😀

Much excitement tonight. The Conference playoffs in the National Football League.

Brady's Bucs versus Rodger's Packers in the NFC at shivering Lambeau Field. Tickets as low as $2011 according to ESPN. Sod that. I'll watch the highlights for nothing in the centrally-heated comfort of my home... 😎

Patrick Mahomes fit for the Chiefs against the Bills. Arrowhead is another frigid stadium. 😱

I generally favour home teams in these matters. But wait and see who turns up. "Any given Sunday", an' all that! 😀

Well, The Mahomes Chiefies against the Brady Bucs it is.

Old Bill Belichick must be rueing letting Tom Brady go... but I expect he has a long term plan. 🙂

Aaron Rodgers ended up flat on his back 5 times against the Bucs (Deep Joy as a Vikes fan...), whereas Brady only got sacked once. Dear old Jason Pierre Paul had two sacks. I always remember Jason. Managed to lose a finger in a firework accident, but it clearly did not diminish his ability to get after the QB. The Gronk played little part in the game. I believe the Bucs have played some attention to protecting Tom.

Chiefies managed to sack Josh Allen 4 times, while again protecting QB Patrick Mahomes who only hit the ground once. Travis Kelce scored twice, arguably the best Tight-end in the league.

Gonna be a good Superbowl 55. I love the 4th quarter when Tom plays, known as Brady-time to the afficionados. 😀

We were there last time. 🙂

Ticket prices have just exploded in all all pro sports since the '00's.

I remember I saw a 1st round playoff game at Joe Louis Arena for $19 (face value $20) in '93. Saw several games of the '93 playoffs for $15 (standing room price at the old Montreal Forum), but standing room got ridiculously crowded at quarters- or semis-, can't recall. I basically couldn't see any of the last game I went to and just gave up after that.

Did a Wisconinsane trip many years back with a Milwaukee buddy: Brewers Fri night, Badgers Sat aft, Packers Sun aft. Insane refers to how much driving that is. Endzone Badgers ticket cost more than Packers ticket.
