I do not want to be evil.
But common wisdom and knowledege is: If you are like a common dog, and hence are very, very intrested of running behind a ball. Or are very interested of looking at other sweaty men hunting and running behind a ball: You are probably a man, as we say in Sweden: with ”the thumb in the middle if the hand”

Well, JayDee, where have got to so far is The Azzuri (Italy) have stunned us by beating Wales 22-21 at Rugby! Who'd have thought?
Alas, they have suffered a stunning World Cup Defeat against "North Macedonia" at Soccer:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/60869125
I don't make this stuff up!
TBH, I don't even know where North Macedonia is. One of Italy's darkest moments, IMO.

There was a definite Buzz in Da' Betfred Bookies today. Grand National day! The toughest test of Man (or Woman) and the Horse in the World.
I know this Race. Complete waste of time in money-making terms. In fact It is the only exception to my rule of never betting on Handicaps or Favourites.
But so much FUN. Only 15 of the 40 runners finished.
I got off to a Flier in the 15.00. Edwardstone was Hot Favourite. 5 wins on the Trot. I preferred Willie Mullins "Gentleman De Mee" at about 4-1. It won. Thus covering any subsequent losses.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/horse-racing/race/EHRP1113427
Alas, as so often happens, everything else LOST.
Not that I mind. An excellent Afternoon's Entertainment. I broke even.
This was an Amateur Jockey. His daytime job is filling teeth as a Dentist. A Cheltenham Gold Cup win versus such classic Horses as Kauto Star and Denman is not shabby. Add two George VI wins and now a National.
BRILLIANCE.
BTW, no Horses or Jockeys were harmed in this race.

One minute you are Top of the World. And a Draw against the Bookies COUNTS!
Next Minute you Down In The Dumps... 🙁
Last Man I wanted to see this morning was Fanatical Hampshire C.C.C. supporter "Ashley".
Fact is, Hampshire (In where I do currently dwell) have just THRASHED my Somerset Boys at Cricket.
Just Wait till we get back at Taunton. It'll be a different Story.

An enticing game tonight. We had written off Chelsea versus Real Madrid. But the Blues have come within a goal of them.
Sufficient I have turned on the Radio to R5L. Could this be this "Miracle of Madrid"?
All square! 3-3. Squeeky bottom time.

Watch "Wu's on first ?"Read a joke for the first time finding this one.
Q: What position did Larry Bird play?
A: Yes.

Ronnie the Rocket has defied his Demons. He has defied the Pundits. He is 7th. time World Champion!

I am known as a Rambling Man. But an excellent afternoon's Horse Racin' at Ascot. Warm up to the Epsom Derby and Oaks.
Here's my card and my reasons. James Doyle has won the 1000 and 2000 Guineas already this year! Clive Cox is my favourite Trainer in the Short races.
So first out of the Stalls is James Doyle on Diamond Bay (Bay means a Brown Horse for those who don't follow this exciting Sport).
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/horse-racing/race/EHRP1121377
13.45 (Ascot) Diamond Bay £1 Win.
15.30 (Ascot) Spirit of the Bay £1 Win.
16.05 (Ascot) One Ruler £1 Win. Aratus £1 Win. Accidental Agent £1 Win.
17.15 (Ascot) Benny and the Jets £1 Win.
No, I can't justify the 17.15 bet. But Adam Kirby is a good jockey too. Mainly, I liked the name of the horse. 😀

Without knowing much about Arm-Wrestling except we all tried it at School, and it is murder on your elbow, I thought John Brzenk (on the left) would win right from the start!
Respects his opponent, but confident in his ability.
Horse Racin' all in the balance. James Doyle lost the First Race. But has won the Third on a 6-4 Favourite. I never bet on Favourites. You don't win much.
Thus not very exciting!

Same guy at 49 ...50 years old:
and even a bit older:
It took 3 years to the 18 years younger huge Denis to beat him...but nobody else was able to become a world champion at 18 years old with less mucles than a regular construction worker has...
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=mVl3Fqh8Zr4
Well he lost to a 16 years younger Voevoda but the only guys who legitimately beat him being equal in age was 1.Ron Bath and 2.Richard Lupkes who beat his *** from time to time while equslly losing to John but being 8 years older than John.Lupkes still is a giant at 64 years old and it deserves most respect out of everybody all the others that occasionaly beat John being significantly younger and more muscular so all credits to Richard Lupkes here:
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=zi3VMmy65bE
Even at 54 Lupkes was almost killing a half aged Denis who at the time was world's absolute champion but couldn't keep the pace due to Denis's stamina .
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=8pDmz1q6LMo
Bigger muscles never equate to bigger force unless you're as monstruous as Levan Saginashvilli at 180 kg+ , but that's rather unhealthy. All in all John should be a better to follow example for new pumped up "gym generations "

Football, as England striker Gary Lineker said, is a game of 11 men against 11. Then the Gernans win on penalties!
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/61446268
Alas, the Glasgow Rangers learnt this lesson again tonight. 1-1 in normal time. 5-4 to Eintracht Frankfurt on Penalties.
Ah, well. Always next year! 😀

TBH, I have never thought that a Scottish Premier side can even vaguely compete with even an English Championship side. Such is the Gulf in ability... 🙂
My own Coventry City F.C. versus Glasgow Rangers F.C. can only go one way. To the Sky Blues!
I am not alone in this opinion. Her Majesty skipped the opening of Parliament. Some excuse about lack of mobility. I think She has better things to do. 😛
Well, She seemed pretty frisky about the Royal Windsor Horse Trials. Happened to have a few of Her own Horses running!
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-61437148
Draw your own conclusions! The Champions League, 'Pool against Real Madrid remains of interest. IDK.

Fitba' - a game played by players with Buckminster Balls! ⚽
My wife watched the game, I am not a footie fan.

What Cricket wretchedness is this?
I thought Somerset's 211 all out was OK.
Followed by Hampshire's 280 all out.
Little did I know my team would TOTALLY collapse to 69 all out.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/scorecard/ECKO52970
It is hard to draw consolation from such a drubbing. This is the team of Ian Botham and IVA Richards and Joel Garner. I personally would have made 5 n.o. in the second innings even at No. 11! Just my stubborn nature. 😀
Interestingly, Horrible Hampshire (Where Hurricanes Hardly Ever Happen) had only to knock off one run to win in their second innings. Surely some sort of World First?
