Brilliancy in Sport, Your favourite moments

Here's the true story of the bad-tempered long shot "Green Gratto" winning a Grade 1 7F horserace in New York, and about $400,000! Lifetime earnings made it a millionaire horse. Absolutely brilliant!

How a Hard-Luck Horse and His Jamaican Trucker Owner Became Million-Dollar Champs

I looked this nag up. It's is true:

Green Gratto Pulls Carter Stunner - BloodHorse

You can even watch the race. TBH, I think Tommy Macho would have won it if he hadn't got boxed in...

But that was good riding by Green Gratto's jockey. Horse now retired to stud. Who'd have thought? 😎

system7 is back with Sporting Brilliance! 🙂

Quite honestly, I will watch two snails racing, as long as they are they the TOP TWO snails. 😀

Imagine my Joy in watching this Race on 12th. November at Cheltenham!

It speaks for itself. Anyway, onto the Hong Kong Vase and the Japan Cup.

Just found out probably the greatest sports man of all times, Armwrestling world champion for continuously 25 years.First win -1983, last one 2015...And this is not all. This guy has a net worth of 5 million dollars yet he works as an airline mechanic every week since 1980.I though i knew what performance means until I found this guy:

I can hardly wait until Tomorrow's result in the Japan Cup! This splendid Horserace pit's Aidan O'Brien's finest Horses against each other. My only regret is St. Mark's Basilica is not Racing. 😀

Way I see it going is Japan will beat Broome.

I have already invested a Quid on Japan. 25-1 ain't bad. 😀

I wante to show a picture of Max Verstappen as the first Dutch Formula 1 Worldchampion, but on my iPad I cannot upload a picture after the last forum update. I get a security error all the time.

Update: I posted the text first and then edited my post with adding the picture. This worked!

A decent performance by "The People's Horse" last Sunday.

The Pyledriver came second... Exciting Race which set off at a slow Place. Allowed Glory Vase to win with a sprint in the last 100 yards. 😡

Much more exciting things happened in some of the other Hong Kong Races. But enjoyed my £2 investment. I can afford it.

When i nipped into Da Bookies, I was most interested in the Boxing Day Race, The King George VI Race (On very soft ground) at Kempton.

Rachael Blackmore seemed a sure-fire winner on Mindella Indo. All went horribly, horribly wrong.

I have to ask this question. Where does Willie Mullins find these long shot winners? Does he have special carrots he feeds his horses?

Enquiring minds want to know. 🤢

I enjoy the Winter Sports as much as anyone, stinius. But did Anders land badly there? His knees were bent.

I assumed this was Holmkollen in Oslo, from the Norwegian language and cheers, but turns out it was Vikersund. A place unknown to me.

You wouldn't get me attempting a Ski Jump. I know my limits. 😆

Anyway, latest Brilliancy is England's draw in Australia in the Cricket.

This is one of the toughest games in the World. I know because I used to play it. Takes Bravery and Fearlessness.

What will happen to Djokovic ?, 🤔 I am intrigued, because after losing the last Grand Slam (US OPEN 2021) at the hands of Danil Medvedev, he is willing to legally fight against the state of Australia to fulfill his dream, - if they allow him to play and if wins the tournament - from being the biggest winner in history with 21 GS over Federer and Nadal, both with 20 .... But this time there is a public health issue involved, and I don't think an exception is made that would bring much controversy ......

PS: I played tennis for many years, and I can assure you that Djokovic never beat me!
😉

I have no sympathy for Novak Djokovic whatsoever. 😀

Big strong Man. Not exactly Intellectual or Educated in biology. But evidently scared of needles.

Thinks his jab might infest him with Bill Gates' Microchips or the G5 phone network.... what a birdbrain!

Read my lips. Jabs reduce your chances of dying tenfold. The germ is scary. But so was Smallpox, Mumps, Polio, Measles, Rubella and Scarlet Fever.

We had our jabs for those too. And so far so good. Why is this different?
