Beautiful Amps Bensen!! True art.
Easy, push-button seasonal bias current adjustment is a genius idea!
Enjoy these babies.

Enjoy these babies.

They played couple of 100hours sofar. They sounded superb in the beginning and have the feeling they even sound better now. Burning in of the psu caps?? Or getting used to the sound??and, how it sings?
Sound is very relaxing, even at high volumes (60Vpp at speaker posts).
I'm that satisfied that I'm planning to dis-assemble my previous diy amps, which was a project of 7years!
I can only advise others to build this amp!
Thanks again ZM!
Rest of the system, see link below.
Speakers are sissy 7” Sonus Fabers Venere 2.0.

Well, I'm not good to explain sound differences to start with.
When going balanced, I noticed music has lost some cosiness, it was less enjoyable, some warmth was missing. No difference was noticed in bass, mid's and treble.
I second the input of Zen Mod, phase and amplitude of harmonic spectra of preceeding gear must have impact.
My system:
- source = DAC (Ian Canada + AD1862 + discrete I/V): https://www.diyaudio.com/community/threads/dac-gallery.166807/page-23#post-7679581
- preamp = Blowtorch clone...

Yes, you desperately need bigger and better speakers
with all respect (
not really), these are for those who doesn't know better

Yeah, I know. Have the system in the living room, to enjoy it as much as possible.
System needs high WAF to keep it there 😉. Speakers need to be bookshelves.
I’m planning to purchase Buchardt s400 mkII’s. Any advice for good bookshelves is welcome.

(1) What is the size of the case?
(2) MOSFET version?
(3) Aren't you worried that they will overheat in that cabinet?
(4) No BLUE LEDs. Seriously, you know that will affect the negative 2nd order distortion! 😉
(5) What is the preamp? I assume you're driving it balanced?
(6) Speakers? My 252 MOSFET drives the Maggie 1.7 well (*) and the Audio Note AN K/LX very well. I also have another system in the works with the amp and Acoustic Energy AE1s.
(7) The Buchardt s400 speakers have a rear passive radiator. How are you gonna mount those against the wall on a shelf? You need either a front port or a sealed cabinet ( hint, the AN K/LX are sealed )...
(8) Nice looking set up... what is the box on the upper right? The one with the front panel display?
(9) When it comes to speakers... beware of ZM... do you remember the things he drives? You wife will hate you if you put those in your living room!
The small AN speakers fit nicely against the wall and have beautiful wood finishes. I got my pair used. Anyhow... those little ( 8 inch woofer ) speakers sound really good with the MOSFET amp.
BTW, These are my speakers.... I bought them for $1850 including shipping from the Bay Area to SoCal. I'm positive you can find them in Europe.

(*) WIthin limits... I did push it into protection playing some loud music - an LP of Heart's Dreamboat Annie.

ZM Omniloved, so there is no issue of speakers size
Snell clones are good enough for 80 sq. Feet room

aha

And YOU are the expert on WAF? Dangerous ZM.
😉 😈😈😈
I mean, at least my Maggies are white and blend against the wall when I push them backwards when not in use. My wife loves me too, and we don't have a coffee table in the living room and three racks of BIg Black components with handles and BLUE lights... but, I don't want to push it.
Heatsinks: 2x200mm 5u, case: 370mm x 420mm x 210mm
Mosfet version
No, stil able to keep my hands for more than 10 seconds on the HS when playing for hours.
I hate blue Led’s. Outside needs to match furniture = White leds
Preamp is Blowtorch clone: see link a couple of Posts above. No, driving it SE, sounded clearly better than balanced ( more sugar)
