Babelfish XA252 / Babelfish XA252 SIT / Babelfish XA252 SET

just use SIT Schematic, I drew it with exactly that purpose :clown:

what part you can't see on schematic, don't solder it on pcb, simple as that

missing SIT gate resistor 47R

it implies being "flying", soldered ditto on SIT gate and heatshrinked with wire to gate pin, so wire not hanging on wimpy resistor pin

I soldered 100R.

solder 47R instead

The schematics ought to have the REV field filled in.

sometimes even ZM isn't fast enough, to catch ZM

Yeah, I like that smoke. Is that a SIT caliber gun? 🔫🔥:firefite:

ZM... you have a GREAT sense of humor. Awesome, don't change. It's a great trait to have. Not enough people have a good sense of humor. If we all had more humor, the World would indeed be a better place.

Thanks pal. So a 0,36 W/C sink will raise 22-23 C over ambient. That’s not much to write home about is it?

Ps. Looked up the Modu, it’s 0,28 C°/W. All sorts of standards when describing them. That’s about 17-18 C over ambient.

The one I was looking at is a 300x300 that would comply with my form factor preferals

Made an order so big the alu smelt works up north almost drained the grid.

Also building a dummy load hopefully big enough to test all the transformers in my iron stash that would give me in the vicinity of 2x24 vac to see what they are good for.

@Vunce That's a real looker you have built there!

I don't have the skill to tell if you have a speaker protection circuit hidden at the back. Having enjoyed the wrath of the SET version...I wouldn't run this amp without it. No offense meant to the designer. This is a fabulous amp. It's even 'hot'.

Where did you get the heat sinks for the "R25"???? modules.
That was a single heatsink that I cut to the dimensions needed to fit a pair of R25 psu’s. Don’t remember where I got it from?

….I don't have the skill to tell if you have a speaker protection circuit hidden at the back…..

Yes Soren, this amp will have DC speaker protection and maybe thermal protection also. (If I don’t get lazy during chassis wiring)
