When you said you have no sound, were you testing one or both channels at a time?
Have you done the voltage checks on image 2 and 3 of ACA 1.6 build guide step 56?

I tried both channels. On one I could get some faint static touching the speaker leads to binding posts. Did not think to note which channel this was. I am away from home now and will do the voltage and resistance testing Monday and post the results.
Looking good!
Power-on checks are also important, looking forward to seeing your results.
I’m still curious about trying both channels at the same time.

Fantastic!
With all the testing complete, at this point it’s logical to hook it all up and see if it plays.

I will hook it up to my pre ( both channels and speakers ) next. I did check the Bias again and found a bad joint on a Q1 D. ( fixed )
Well my pre is a brand new Emotiva PT2 so it may take a little bit. If it goes like we hope I will spin up an original Riverside record of Waltz for Debbie that I know well.
Still not getting any sound. Perhaps it is my the new Emotiva pre. The only other thing is the resistance check on r 10. Using the 2M setting on my multi meter I got 0.32 on both when it says I should be getting 335k. The image shows this reading taken at the bottom of R10 and not at Q4 D?

0.32 on a megaohms scale is 320K. Close enough.
hmmm… this is weird, everything is measuring correctly.
You’ve got the Right RCA connected to the left PCB and vice-versa. Correct that when you get a chance.

Well gee whiz, not sure how I missed that? Will do. So the gate of Q4 is really measured at the bottom of r10? Can I run the ACA on a line out from my existing receiver?

6L6, Thank you so much for your time and expertise. It is quite generous in these times and greatly appreciated! Now I find myself wanting to continue in magic smoke diy😊
