Is this a suitable choice ratings wise for a 300b tse2? https://primarywindings.com/product/10-henry-200ma-dc-choke/
The 10h 180ma may save some money. it also has the desired 200 ohm resistance..........decisions decisions
Hi, I have an older TSE board. Will the STF3LN80K5 mosfet from the TSE-II BOM work with the original TSE board ?
Hey!
I have a question, what are o think about this trans.
ISO FC-40-3.5S ?
Is this a good choice for this project?

Nevermind, figured it out. Had one side switched around. Now time for testing and adjustments.
Made these when I was building the TSE-II. Hope it helps.

It depends.
Seriously, it depends on what you are building, i.e. what output tubes you plan to use at what operating conditions. Have you read through this:

A really long time ago the Edcor XPWR131 was spec'd by member Rknize for use in the TSE. This allows the use of 300Bs, 2A3's, 45's etc. Two different high voltage taps.

The Hammond 376X should also work, but yield a slightly lower B+ voltage vs the Edcor XPWR131.
Edcor is in the US and if I recall correctly, the transformers are built to order.
Hammond would be available with major component distributors like Mouser and Digikey.
P.S. Another Edcor model that you can look up is the XPWR144 - has both 640VCT and 760VCT option (in case you want to build something else later). Available from ready stock from Don Audio who are Europe based.

On the TSE-II with a GZ34 (valve) rectifier, the 380-0-380 secondary will likely give you around 470v.
You need a good 300b to handle that kind of voltage.

Yea kinda hot for 300b, 300-0-300-ish may be better, 300x1.41=423vdc, drop to about 350vdc on the plate is more reasonable. Also 200ma is low, 75ma/300b + 15ma driver tube x 2 =180ma, so 200ma gives low headroom. 250ma may be better.
