Is the Dx not favorable for you because of higher order harmonics?
"Not linear" is the answer I guess. But we have derailed the thread too far I guess 😀 Let's refrain a bit (or let admin to create a new thread if he thinks it is best)...
In case anyone cares, I'm listening to some Ella Fitzgerald through my DX Super A as I type this and it is absolutely stellar!
Just sayin

Is super A a lot better than plain Dx? As J type - I am listening to Suzanne Vega on my Dx and it is one of the few amps to handle the deep bass line properly on many of the tracks on 9 Objects of Desire album. It's a nice amp - you would be hard pressed to find a better commercial amp for under circa $1000 is my guess. That's the cool thing about DIY. If the FX8 tops this it will be very cool. I am really liking the small form factor because I want To build a 6 channel amp for my 3 way active setup. 3 amps per side bolted to same heat sink. It may be a small heat sink too if I use a small CPU cooler fan.
Just finished my PCB for APEX FX100 PSU+Protect using ultrafast MUR860 diodes, seperate relays for each channel and space for four filter capacitors (thinking of Nichicon LGU1J103MELC) Circuit is tested and works just fine.

Nice work. I suggest to conect relays in series and you must decrease 1k2/5W resistor value to get 24V on relays coil.

Correct, that's more efficient. Optimum value for parallel configuration is 650 Ohms btw. Using 600 Ohms gives currently 25.5V with 40-0-40 Transformer in idle.
Updated schematic and PCB files for relays in series configuration
Nice work, thank you.

hello ,
Apex , could you please give us AX11 with short circuit protection
Regards !
Use FX100PSU (PSP100) and you will have short circuit protect for any amp.
Regards
I can't do what you recommend , because my power is ready now. I need something like this: I apologize for the bad quality image ......
This is VI limiter not protect. you can add this circuit but you need DC protect... you can use only protect circuit from PSP100 without PSU.
I don't want use VI limiter on hi-fi amps, only for PA.

U mean some like this ?
No, there is no short circuit protect, use this schematic.
