hi apex sir, is this step works with ba1200?
What about negative side H steper?

2sa1943/c5200 are obsolete.
I think Toshiba were forced into releasing new code numbers because their devices were being faked by so many criminals.
Don't buy any a1943/c5200, because they aren't.

I used to get them a few years back on a local electronics store , they haven't blew up or anything , maybe just that some stores still had surplus devices ?
Now I can;t find them anymore , definitely not in the RS catalog, fairchild produces analogues although with a 20 volt higher max rating and 2 amp more current.

re apex BA2000
hi I found that Proline 3000 also same as ba200. but i dont know how the protection circuit works without any power supply.
pls see the attached pdf schematic. protection circuit stars only from sp out and then goes to GND.
Can any expert explain this or is there any mistake on the schematic ?
also can someone design the input board pcb layout ?

hi guys I finally got the MJLs, now I need the actual pcb dimensions for the Input balance and protection. Help please.
can anyone help me please, I have managed to do the ba1200 and its sounding good. But how do I wire the protection LED, and which side does the LED go for the nsl32? I have just made one using LDR & a red led. Maybe small diagrams will do.

Dear apex audio sir,
I build the amp. Switch on through 100w bulb. Dc offset is fluctuating. But beliw 20mv with bulb series.
Dont know why fluctuating it. I never tried direct 230v supply as even with bulb series tripple emitter ,means drivers get hot. But bulb dims very well.
Anyhow I gave audio signal . I heard big noise. Like raining sound. Biad preset also not answering. Got 440mv on base and emitter of outputs. Even rote 330 preset it remains same.
Is that also due to ossilation ? Any idea what to do sir?

You are right. There is a very clear SOA problem. See attached picture.
Simulations show 400W to 1000W resistive load @4R.
SOA worsens with real reactive load. 😕
How did you get the SOA curves in the LTSpice its interesting to see it in the graph. Can you please tell how to do that in LTspice?
how about 2SC5949 / 2SA2121 they are 220W transistorsMuch more suitable.
Both have good High Voltage SOA.

See my thread

and search for "soa". There are some examples, how to set the plot values to get this graph.
