So the SIT4 would be the common source son of the BAF2022 SIT and the SIT5 the common drain one , what a shame that now every single THF51 or 2SK182 sold on ebay cost the same price as a fancy 300B tube 
I think even today, you could find two THF-51s for the price of a single Chinese 300B. While its not “cheap” its still justifiable since a 300B has limited usage, while these industrial parts could last decades, and can be reused…. The days of 20 USD Solid state triodes are long gone!

And you must include the cost of the output transformer with the tube, since it can't go without. So the Tokin's are the real bargain !
This circuit is working, see the pictures at 1W.
With 1VAC at the output it has 1% distortion.
Is that good?
I never can calculate for different types of amps the wattage by current and voltage. Hu, hu!
H2 is at 1W fairly high, 20db higher than H3.
Current is about 2A.
Most irritating is that not the Mosfet contributes 20% to the out current, but the SIT. I understood Nelson, it should be vice versa.
I get the inverse only by adding a bit 5R resistor in the source line of the Mosfet, that cannot be the truth....

For me, SIT5 looks more a DEFiSIT than Muff follower, so Mosfet contributes more current than SIT.

and Papa just opened enormous can of worms, ZM making drekload of amps having most imaginable insane illogical combo of output parts
