Wesayso, I think you're right, it is probably rendered... Remindes me that one time as I visited Munich High end show, I encountered a turntable of a famous brand which was all acrylic glass and gold (I think they have installed some fake gems stones as well, just for show) . The design shouted so loud bling bling money that I had to giggle. Yet as I asked about it, they told me it as already been sold!! For 30k. So yes, one can never know 🙂Kind of hoping this is just a rendered picture... 😳
It does have that fake look about it....
Pretty sure taste comes in all sorts and shapes though.
That might be a good thing. 😉
Yes man!! Building 2 pairs of TL2 😄Are you really building 4 at once? 2 Sets of speakers?
(or just huge surrounds 😀)
I have been asked by a gentleman if it would be possible to build a pair for him as well... And well... Sure, why not! A lot of fun actually...
Dude, I'm a carpenter, so actually it's cheating 😁 but then again, thanks for the complimentYour abilities make me weep at my pathetic attempts![]()
Your reputation is at stake now! Now you just got to do a nice veneer 😀 (just kidding)Yes man!! Building 2 pairs of TL2 😄

Very excited to see some activity on the tl1/2 .
I built a pair of TL-2,s in 2021 and even though it took me months...it was worth the wait.
Outside of veneer, I followed Troels' plan to the letter-- its a big box with internal chambers
I'm looking forward to your final version.

Ho man! no pressure 😆Your reputation is at stake now! Now you just got to do a nice veneer 😀 (just kidding)
it will be fine... I hope....
One good thing though about building two pairs is that I can experiment and do both finnish and see what looks better 😉
Hello,Finally starting to cut sheets of beech plywood, 30mm thick. Every cut is a small operation since the cabinet is also narrower at the back at an angle of 5 degrees... So a lot of time goes on accuracy.
In my books, beech plywood is the best you can get (after panzerholz that is 🙂) better then birch which is also a great material. Only problem is cost, here in Germany it is about 45-60€per square metre.
is there an online shop to buy beech plywood? Can you advise any?
Thanks
Hello Vitopro. Well that's depends where you live. In Germany one could find stuff online but the costs of delivery would be horrendous. I buy from my local woodstore... and the prices are really high of late. Sorry I couldn't help!Hello,

I love them! They take a good while to break in and placement is key.
- The Bass will surprise you at first--it will sound light--over time as the woofer breaks in they really come alive. Never "fat" sounding just clean and forceful-- if its in the recording. Of course you can tailor the response with the Hypex but I'm still figuring that out
- Midrange and highs--as fast and transparent as I have ever heard--I have had Maggies, Martin Logan e-stats (sl-3 and Odyssey) and the tl-2 is at least their equal and probably better. One note--crappy recordings will sound crappy--no way around it--these don't sugar coat
- Imaging is wide, a bit forward with reasonable depth--but once you get them dialed in--they really do disappear.

Shemply613, thank you so much for your Response! Your description sounds absolutely fantastic 😀 Yet partly I'm afraid of this ''Last speaker you'll ever built'' usually there is always the next step, that's part of the hobby.I love them!
By the way, a huge compliment on your build, it's looks super clean and elegant, well done indeed 😊
Darn it! I knew something was missing! Here is the final sketch. For nowDon't know if it's not too late but the top must be flat... and water resistant. 🙃

Unsuspected drooling! 😆 doh@abstract is this for unsuspected drooling visitors or to make room for the plants of the wife? 🤔
One pair is going to be black and white as shown above in the GIF. But since I'm building two pairs.... I will decide if it's worth to go for furnier...Hmmm. Can't wait to see the outcome!
What have you decided for finish?
And.... still a looooot of work, but everything is going according to plan
