Proud of your work? 😉
I definetly like the angular design of the top/back. Reminds me of Lamborghini. That said for bookshelf's speakers you managed to keep them tiny. Lol.

There is a new model of Lamborghini coming out... the new design of the old Countach. looks somehow similar.... What a coincidence!Proud of your work? 😉

I think this style of sharp angles is coming back to fashion... and yes that was the idea of the top design....
I have yet to found a way to integrate the super tweeter without making it looks like a birthday hat 🙄🤔
About Lambo influence i didn't got it until now! A proof you got it right. 🙂
Nice new car design from them.
Joke mode on: why bother with a birthday hat when our dear Magnus gave us the ultimate design to protect the super tweet from 5g death ray with style ( and other unknown threats)? :

Wesayso: hmmm... i'm still against 'like'as is. Oh well... maybe after all it could reduce noise floor ( which i'm happily rising as soon as i can 😏 !).

Yours truly
Nice work noamgeller, you can be proud. 🙂
Now that krivium mentions it, the slope on the back shows some similarity with the Lambo. 🙂
Thanks zman01🙂 they really do look similar 🤔Nice work noamgeller,
Considering putting the speaker on wheels, call it a lambo and be done with it
I am really proud that I manage to put a GIF in this forum, with the old website design I could only dream about it!you can be proud.
noamgeller
Just saw this thread and what an awsome work, and the design looks just great! With the little curved front grill its perfect! imho. This really inspired me even more. At the moment Im bulding a speaker that is a mix of TL2 and TL3. Mine will have a little "vintage" look with speaker grill like TL3 (but brown colour) the sides and top will be carbon fibre laminated so not much vintage there 😵 We´ll see how it looks when finnish 😀
Hallo Theo, thanks for the comment 😀 appreciate it very much!noamgeller

It would be awesome if you could share your project progress. Have you started your own thread? And how come your in between TL2-TL3? are you going active?
Must be nice to have your skills and tools/place to work 🙂 Really looking forward for updates!Hallo Theo, thanks for the comment 😀 appreciate it very much!

No thread from me yet, maybe I start one.
My speakers are much more simple build than yours. Made from mainly MDF and Valcromat, mostly 2x16mm glued together. Internal material is what I had in the garage.
I really liked the look of TL3 but I wanted the 18" BMS so I made a hybrid.
Box volumes and speakers are just like TL2 except I will try witout the supertweeter to start with.
First I will use them active with a few Hypex plate amps and If I dont like it I might look into passive crossovers. I build them with baffles thats possible to remove and put other elements/baffle shapes. I have much speaker elements from other builds so I dont know where this ends😏
~3/4 finnished or so, I started this year so I have put some time in the garage lately.😀

Looks good to me. Though, I would be afraid to go free like you are doing. I lack the knowledge and instruments to build my own crossover... Instead I'm following Troels instruction to the latter.
Yes thats understandable.
I try with the huge possibilities Hypex have. I have some experience and things to measure with so we´ll see how it goes. I can always order crossoverparts and go that route.
(Would like to add that I have built things with alot of Troels products before so if i dont buy more than damping material and speaker fabric this time I dont think he is to sorry about it 😏 )

I also bought quite a a lot from Troels.... Anyhow prices are peanuts compared to commercial... at least that's what I'm telling myself when buying Tl2 loudspeaker kit 🤐
You move fast! Looking impressive already. Still hoping to see a nice dark stain walnut... 😉
(which would look horrible on a Lambo by the way....)

Ho man ,dark stain walnut could be jaw dropping... but so much work!!!!You move fast! Looking impressive already. Still hoping to see a nice dark stain walnut... 😉

Beautiful job Noam. Agreed grain matching would be a bit mind bending at best. Not impossible but mind bending none the less.
Yep. Lambos should be chrome.Still hoping to see a nice dark stain walnut... 😉

great construction! I particularly like the hi-tech stealth geometry in combination with the traditional soft wood appearence.
Thanks! Work in progress.... I stop counting the hours I'm working on it... Still not complaining, I'm having the time of my life!great construction! I particularly like the hi-tech stealth geometry in combination with the traditional soft wood appearence.
