Weird weird angles
Don't usually see such angles on a speaker cabinet... 🙂
When you mentioned "Dubai" I'm automatically thinking of the Porsche 911 Singer coupé Dubai...
(I have a scale model of that on my desk)
Totally off topic though... I have to get used to the colors you showed us...
It doesn't 'scream' luxury to me yet...

Let me just add: don't listen to me. The last 3 cars we've owned, all black. My speakers? Black again. No fantasy here 😀.
Wesayso, you are the one I mostly listen to! When the time comes, I'll buy some veneers and try some stuff... the one pair that goes to the gentleman who bought them will be definitely white.Let me just add: don't listen to me. By the way, black is the hardest paint to get right, since you see every single blemish. I once went into a showroom full of Steinway pianos, all black of course.... the Finnish was not always that good. To get such a large object perfect is just insanely difficult 😕
I'm very impressed with your workmanship NG, but wouldn't self flagellation be easier and more direct?
I'm only partially joking as I gave my partner a new design (4 way large drivers, but active) to draw up in CAD and I'm sure he swore for a solid minute after he opened the sketch.

That's why I chickened out and went with a satin finish on my speakers. With that long round shape I have you would have seen everything.By the way, black is the hardest paint to get right, since you see every single blemish.
Prior to going for black I had this (pré polish, just after paint):
But cracks due to the wood working didn't let me keep it. There were 4 layers of clear, polished to high gloss.
I would have went with a black baffle with these. The stain is a dark walnut color (on birch ply) 😉.
The cars are a lot of work! You need to keep them clean to be able to enjoy the color...

Go crazy go full chrome for golden 'mirror' finished for the ultimate 'bling bling''s luxury look.
It may appeal to far eastern customers too ( the golden ones). 😉
I wait for full white exemple. Which kind of finish your customer wish? I've been blown away by ultra mat varnish on a white Audi or Bmw there is in town. Very nice contrast with some black chrome hardware the car have.

That must have been a hell of a project. Just Keeping this tower straight must have been an accomplishmentThat's why I chickened out and went with a satin finish on my speakers. With that long round shape I have you would have seen everything.

My costumer wants white mat with black. Which will look absolutely beautiful, I am sure. I think I would also like to swap luxury with majestic. I think the living voice nails the latter. Kind of emits power and elegance with the bling bling...Go crazy go full chrome for golden 'mirror' finished for the ultimate 'bling bling''s luxury look.

The look of the bass enclosure on the left is enough for me. But you needed a super tweeter, right?
And I agree, the white/black cab will look great! Not small, but great 🙂.
Yes, I haven't solved the super tweeter issue yet. I am afraid it's going to look something like a bear wearing a birthday hat 😀View attachment 1025161

Funny you have come up with those. I have herd them extensively in Munich 2019… they were playing at the smaller hotel audio show ( not the MOC). They we’re playing in a huge room and sounded appropriately huge. But that’s all I remember from them, and something about F1 team designing the enclosure. Still looked like a huge toed to me. So yes, you have a point.Designs for the Rich that have gone terribly wrong...
