I added the following to my build:
- Ground loop breaker
- PCB for a capacitive switch controlling a 30A relay
- AC filter
Thanks for sharing, Could you tell us which POT did you select for volume control?
The issue exists even if the source is not connected. What could be the issue and is there any solution which I can try. Thank you all for your suggestions. Now I learned how to check DC offset on amplifiers.Check your source, it might be being amplified

Yes, this procedure should be a standard check before you connect to any speakers. Especially if not using a DC speaker protection circuit. 😉
[emoji23] any suggestions if I can rectify the dc offset other than sending the amp back to China.Yes, this procedure should be a standard check before you connect to any speakers. Especially if not using a DC speaker protection circuit. 😉
Unfortunately, I’m not familiar with this TPA3255 version, so I’m not very much help. There are many others that purchased this board, maybe one will chime in soon. I hope this works out for you.
Do you have another PS you can run the amp with then test DC offset again? I'm making the assumption that you have a single SMPS (providing "+" and "Gnd (return)" voltage connections to a single amp board (dual channel)?

Any chance someone can help me find the last board version for this project, and save from reading 416 pages?

TPA3255 have a good speakers protection.

The DC offset cannot come from the source because the inputs of TPA3255 has series input coupling caps. So check for the input caps themselves, they might be shot already so they cannot block DC anymore (coming from 1/2 opamp supply), change the broken input channel with 4.7uF polypropylene or 10uF electro caps..
Also check for the output filter (inductor + cap).
BTL imbalance (DC offset) trigger of TPA3255 is 1.5A, so if you are using 4ohms speakers, the DC protection of TPA3255 should trigger.
Russian electronic store use planar inductors

Verdict is out: JL ELectronics Sylph-D200 Amplifier Module Review | Audio Science Review (ASR) Forum
Even though the resulting SINAD did not reach excellent levels, I'm still happy because it passed rigorous tests with stability and without shutting down. And it got a lounging panther 🙂

Hello
Well done, great achievement.
I had no doubts about the "I am happy to recommend the JLE Sylph-D200 amplifier module" of the panther.
My V1, has been on trial since November (about 16 hours per day) and I am currently putting it in a box.
I partition the different modules as much as possible, it is a lot of machining.
I chose to deport the input and TPA input capacitors.
I use big Wima mkp10.
Another big thumbs up!
Best regards
Roger

Good Job Jlester )
Your module works great for me.
I am pretty surprised about the power @ 8 ohms / 35W for both channels.
It remains light but sufficient for listening in a non-oversized room
So you can compare :
The A07 TPA3255 @48V / 3A will provide you 61W / 8R
VS @32V / 5A = 48W / 8R

Hi Daniel,
We identified that the early clipping was due to overloading of the input of PFFB.
Since your amp has unity gain buffers, it should get the appropriate power output. You can check by measuring voltage before clipping light indicator lights up.

Congrats JLP , your amp has excellent quality/price.
Thank you for the kind words, your TPA3255 will destroy my amp haha.
Congrats JLP , your amp has excellent quality/price.
Not to take away from JLP's good news, but are you taking pre-orders yet? If not, any guess on when the Allo TPA3255 will be ready? You probably get asked this question alot. Sorry. 🙂
