didn't bother to match Biguns especially, except with universal measureitallthingie, afterwards Hfe and Ubc are confirmed as similar in T-Bed

same 😱 holographic sense as with 2N1099
everything else, in short:
-sense of organicity is there, which must be first quality, considering nature of gain aparatus and lack of overall NFB; so, didn't spoiled that 🙂
-mellow, then I tried to observe sense of speed - no lack in that department, too
-Freq. extremes - have no objection
one of my fave albums - see pic - besides MZM liking music on, it is extremely nice tool - spaciousness is exquisite, nothing overproduced or over-edited, and Mile's trumpet is full and detailed ( which isn't the case on some other recordings)
but - one thing especially useful - in enough places, M. trumpet is blasting to the roof, and any link in amplification chain ( and yes, even speakers) would run crying in these moments, while you have ears bleeding
well, no with these boring amps .......... aggression of trumpet sound is here, but green is wide, observing that I'm still in same room, and no bleeding ears

All changes needed are - replace part and replace shifting resistor (R122( value from 10R ( adequate for Ge Ube of 180-2--mV) to 22R ( adequate to Si Ube of 650mV), as part which defines current through Level shifting small mosfet M101
Had few 2SA1943
mounted them , fired up and Iq was sorta same as set for Ge - 1A-ish
started upping Iq and fine-tuning DC Offset , did one channel and when I'm almost done, 2SA1943 in that second channel stopped pretending, taking R122 and output mosfet together with him, most probably South
Ok, power down, remove both 2SA1943 , replace R122, replace IRFP240, mount undoubtedly and certainly original 2SA1491
power up, set what is needed , let it cook for a while
and here it is - same wakoo shape of THD Spectra
rails as before, Iq increased to 1A5

Hope you haven't given up on the 2SA1943...it's still available from a lot of sources that are going to be genuine (as opposed to some of your questionable (but cheap!) sources ;-)
didn't given up, I've just used what I had in drawers and knowing it is genuine ( after questionable 1943 went poof)
having small quantity of 2SA1943 ordered via local vendor, getting them from tme.eu - those are genuine no doubt ......
2SA1491 are sorta small brother of 1943, and I like them even more , though they're unobtanium

I've hear the same thing about the smaller Toshiba 2SA1301/2SC3280s being better than the popular MT-200 gorilla 2SA1302/2SC3281s.
Ordered the smaller ones from a few aliexpress vendors for the Spacy Stasis amp, and will see if any are the real deal.

Always wondered why the NAD freakiness was never discussed here. The NAD 310 started it as far as i remember.
