Mini Pearl

Thanks Jack for this incredible service you are providing the community. Being one of the 'greedy boyz' I asked for 2 sets. In light of the limited supply and in the spirit of spreading the wealth I'd like to amend my request to just one set for the LSK389B devices, the SOIC-8 boards.

Exciting! Still considering how I will implement these. Thinking of using a salas Ultrabib in same box, with a couple AC wallwarts. Only a third of the size of my existing Pearl, no external PSU, and keeps the trafo at a distance. Decisions 🙂

Thanks Jack!

always minimize loop area.

i will get some pix of mine in "cookie tins" sold on Ebay -- these are very mild and easily drilled steel boxes which further reduce magnetic "mains" influence.

I used acrylic film caps -- wouldn't recommend these if you have to solder SMT by hand. The MLCC C0G are very low THD and easily incorporated, just search by size at DK or Mouser. I invested in a Whizzoo reflow oven kit and use it almost every day.

I was thinking about this route too. Boards are small enough that nesting them in additional containers could still be space efficient. Look forward to seeing your examples.

Could you post a photo or a link of those boxes? Thanks

This morning some new 5k Potentiometers arrived from DK: SM-42TW502CT -- not inexpensive ($3.17) but 11 turns which should allow finer "zero adjustment" on the drain. The 5 turn variety is SM-43TW502CT.

Found on Digikey. Thanks Jack!
