Wish All the DIY Shop stuff came as fast as the Fedexed cases from Italy. Full marks to those guys for great product and fast gloabal delivery. Khozomo stuff i have on order from Poland is moving pretty fast by UPS too. But the DHL stuff disappears into an electronic abyss for days. So much excitement with all the goodies coming.

Regarding caps this article is the best I have read and think I will read it every night before bedtime:
Capacitor Characteristics

It is fakta based and not "voodoo" based which I like and it fits with my technical way of thinking and also what I have experienced using caps for various applications.

Listen - reading make no change in sound. Electrolytics with a bit DC on sound ok. I would not use them when no dc. And not more then few volts.

I think reading the article can give a hint when to backup a listening experience with blind tests. It is easy to get fooled by the brain.
Personally I listen to a setup for a very long time (weeks or months) before I make a change. Then I know what I like and what I don't like. It is interesting what re-positioning of the speakers can do to the sound......much more than changing a quality cap with another quality cap.

16mm caps (Panasonic fm 2700uf/25v) barely fit and leave little room for resistors. Choose wisely here...it’s going to be a trade off of capacitance vs. quality. Typically I use silmics but a 16mm Silmic is only 1000uf.

I believe the silkscreen is 13mm.

I remember playing with electrolytes, 2 of them in a back-to-back configuration, with a middle point "biased" by a local +Vcc. That sounded very good.

Electrolite on its own, especially if it can't see any DC at either end, sounds lousy indeed.

A new Korg B1 Nutube preamplifier is alive (and makes music ...) !

I must say that I am extremely satisfied with the result and especially the excellence of the sound ! (And I have absolutely no microphonic effect, but I do not listen to music at a high level ...)

Thank you once again to Mr. Nelson Pass for making public this achievement and 6L6 among others for his valuable advice throughout the many pages devoted to the realization of this project !
