50 V ct @ 6+ Amp transformer could be used to make a halfway decent Class A-B power amp using bipolar transistors. Get a kit from China. You might even be able to use the higher voltage output to operate a tube pre-amp front end.

Here's a couple of pics from my F5 PS mockup. Making sure everything fits. As you might guess this is a classic DIYer overbuild with independent supplies for each channel. Two 300VA toroids, four IXYS44A bridges and a pair of PD Universal PS boards. You can also see The ε24 Power Switch Driver Circuit AMB 's power switch driver board I'm using with my Bulgin power switch.

Still testing. The amp shown in the picture did not sound good at all, the voltage is too low. I did with scrap transformer. I am going to increase it with a variac and listen again.
