Transmission Line Modelling Software

Maybe you could go a bit lower.

You can fold it.

I would want it even higher. Driver is too low as a floorstander. It should be around 1 meter from floor, if you are sitting.
But I don't know how you plan to use them. You can optimize them to fit your needs. If you don't need it tall, bass reflex (shorter and fatter) might be a better option.

What about this (it is below 40" and has weaker harmonics):

Thanks for the suggestions Lightbit. I think I am going forward with the 40 inch straight line. Easier to build and driver center being at 81 cm, bit higher as my current midrange driver, will suit my needs I guess.

Only thing I need to decide is width, as the FC8 is already 220 mm (8.7 inch). From an easthetic opinion, I think 11 inch internal width (12.5 external) will look other than usual.

Hey guys,

A bit of an update on this. I basically lost any free time I had to be able to develop this any further. I left it on the hosted website as long as I could but I decided not to renew the hosting subscription.

Don't worry about distributing it if you have the setup files. That's fine by me.

I'm keen to help it be available, so I'll have a look and see if I can find an alternative way to get it available again online.

Sorry for the lack of warning about it getting pulled from the internet...

Hello scmeet, Is it possible to get installer for your TL program? I had it long time ago but now after pc change I would like to have it again.

LATL app was working fine, but today, I have a bug.
I didn't update anything in my computer, all automatic updates are supposedly turned off, and yet, today, It came up with an error window, and since then, it doesn't want to draw the enclosure in the enclosure window. Only shows the driver, but can't get an enclosure.

I tried restarting the computer, opening saved files I know were good.... no luck.
I'm stuck with no enclosure.

I tried re-installing everything, still no good.

Any help?
Thanks!

Hello all , someone here stated some time ago that the LA software for TL design does not give correct results ... so I thought I let you know about another simulation software that has been confirmed to work correctly in dozens of real build and measured speakers , here the link to the website with free demo in german or english :

AJ-Systems - Loudspeaker simulation with AJHorn

Now in version v7 it does nearly any sort of bass loading , and low pass filter effects also accounted for , well worth the money!

have a nice time

Orion33 you can simulate those Helmholtz resonators along the quarter wave line with Transmission line software

The author confirmed in the post linked below that the tapped horn results were not correct, but as far as I am aware the others should be okay - they appear to be consistent with those of Hornresp.

David, is it possible to add into Hornresp an ability to simulate Helmholtz resonators like on this picture?

It is currently possible to specify an absorber chamber using the stubbed horn (SH) model, but that is as far as it goes. I have no plans to take it any further - the inputs are messy enough already, without making them any worse :).

Some minor updates (v. 3.6.3.5):
  • Bug fix – When dragging the driver position the status used the wrong units.
  • Bug fix – Changing the driver position and pressing enter would not update the model.
  • Bug fix – Changing the stuffing density and pressing enter would not update the model.
  • When updating the stuffing value via the right click menu and selecting ‘custom’. This can now be entered in the users density unit preference rather than always kg/m³.
