Ok, thank you for the explanation, thats kind of what I thought but best to ask to be sure! 🙂
Latest development prototype #5 open baffle. 18" x 55" roughly.
More info here if you care to see the rest.
12" diameter x 11" depth tubes on the back, effectively u-frame baffles I think to help with bass response with the woofers.
Woofers in their open back tubes.
Very best,

How can they produce clean undistorted bass down to ~25-30Hz?
I even asked that in separate thread.
Anyone heard these Italian crazy looking all open baffle speakers? How can they produce enough low bass?
Not everyone is beautiful naked.Beautiful industrial design
It was present at High End Audio in Munich this year....
I heard them but it was not on my preferences....

Is industrial designers are constrained to perform some mechanical training during their studies, i have some diffucties to belive that these creations have been designed by real engineers.
Sorry, my little finger have hitted acccidentaly the enter key, as usual.

Maybe they are good in the dark, but not so in the daylight 😀Not everyone is beautiful naked.
I don't see the interest to be naked in the dark, i have a light in my shower, a pants in my bed and i don't run naked in the streets.
@perrymarshall; so if you are selling the BBs Perry, the question is what are you going to replace them with ? Have you got something “brewing” ?Bigger brother is not in cart yet, hopefully soon.

I have several possibilities in mind. Will update you as things progress.@perrymarshall; so if you are selling the BBs Perry, the question is what are you going to replace them with ? Have you got something “brewing” ?
That new Purifi tweeter looks as though it’s going to be something special 😉. Expensive but maybe it’s worth it . . .
Hello friend, what is your perfect size and shape for 3 way open baffle? best regards DanielWhy would one want to use waveguides on the back and not on the front. Those recesses at the back do act as pretty bad waveguides. I have made that mistake once, learned my lesson and will never do it again. It measured and sounded pretty horrible compared to a thinner flat baffle
Ok, not a pic, but all the open baffle experts are in here.
I'm looking to change up my design from 6*9" wideband for mid/high, 12" midbass and 18" woofer.
I'm just doing this to experiment. Love what I have now but kind of need to try my other driver choices and see what I find.
Mundorf d25
5" ems ma5ex field coil
12" field coil midbass
And I would like to look at a different bass setup. I was thinking of maybe 2x12" per side.
Really, I'm looking for any and all suggestions because I'm kind of going in circles. I considered servo, ripole, but really I would like it to be all one speaker, and maybe try to be less wide than the 18" demands, hence considering dual 12".
Love to hear your thoughts.

This is my last shape with linear results and real punch bass. Its 73 cm wide, with side wings of 30cm. Next days comes the Lii Audio w15 and i will try more narrow. I prefer 8mm pine wood reinforced with strips. Why would one want to use waveguides on the back and not on the front. Those recesses at the back do act as pretty bad waveguides. I would like to have all the drivers on one line and am thinking about slanting the sides next to the midrange and treble. But I've noticed so far that any changes away from a simple straight plate no longer make the whole thing sound homogeneous. I see you have a lot of experience, so I would be particularly interested in which shape is your favorite.
