All open baffle

Anyone heard these Italian crazy looking all open baffle speakers? How can they produce enough low bass?

You know me, i am very fond of open baffle, for that open sound free of boxiness. But open baffle bass is no easy task. I use four 15" woofers with eq.

Btw, my current speakers in main system use planars on top too.

Those have at least four big woofers per side...so far best from all open baffle.

Guess they do it with more cone travel?

I never liked open baffle because they do not generate real pressure in the bass.

However I tried the first time open baffle principle and what shall I say this one marries the benefits of open baffle with corner horn efficiency and it sounds awesome.

Sounds just like some rare very expensive speakers.

I once heard Magnepan open baffle foil loudspeakers visiting a friend.

Bass was quite OK for this type of speaker.

Proposed him to put them into a wall with eq correction and get efficiency back.

But this won't work out cause you would have to put out some doors in order not to destroy the foil entering the room.....

The only way to get good bass from any Magnepan is to use a dedicated woofer system below ~400 Hz.

That was exactly my question. How can naked woofer without any baffle have bass? Not to mention hifi. Because if you eq, you get excessive cone movement with lots of distortion. That creates upper harmonics poluting midrange. Not good.
Naked woofers must have terrible cancellation below 100hz. Someone could simulate it.
Almost any open baffle bass has baffle. The bigger the better. Like that katana speaker ChrisABC posted. Or NoBox visaton.
