Thanks for the explanation. Since I would be happy with around 100W of amplifier power, I think that the AN3436 is what I will use. It is a good compromise between $ and Watts output. Antek is not doing any custom work according to their website, so the only other transformers listed is the AS4438 and AS4440 which are both 400VA models, but they are approx 1.5 X the price of the AN3436. It would be nice to have the 400VA / 38V model, but not sure if the extra cost is warranted. I think the 40V is too high?

I have a memo in with Antek, asking about shipping costs to Canada, as the US depot I was using in Idaho, is off limits now due to C-19, so shipping fees, duties, tax, will be more. Such is diy!!

As of July 2, your package shows “manifested” in Seacaucus, NJ.
I hope that means it got on a plane.

Have you a good model of the pcb holder/vise. A lot of them on the market, but some are fairly fragile and not much holding ability.

Trying to put together a BOM for the All C's pcb. Tried uploading the JPS bom to Mouser, which was an epic fail, so going thru the schematic and stuffing guide to populate a soreadsheet from Mouser. Question:

" What is the lead spacing/pitch for the small capacitors from C101 through C132 ". I look up the caps, but do not know the lead spacing. I would like to order the parts while waiting for the pcb's.

Hi Myles,
The package notation that JPS64 uses is basically pin pitch in mm x width in mm. Width is the size perpendicular to the axis of the pins in a radial package. For the round electrolytic caps, it is pin pitch in mm x dia in mm. For SMT it is length x width in 10mils (ten thousandth of an inch: 1206 is 0.12in long x 0.06in wide). Here is the BOM for the cap sizes listed in detail using the above notation.

Selecting a component with incorrect lead spacing has stuffed me up more than once.

From that, I now tend to hold off on parts orders until I've got the board in hand so that I can measure distances directly. That way, no mistakes..

Just to confirm I have this correct. The pitch is the distance between the leads, and the "wide" is the actual width of the component, excluding the SMT components which are as you described. Hopefully not confusing you?

Yes, width is actual width of part. Width is in direction perpendicular to the axis formed by two lead pins. Width can be bigger than length of component sometimes.
