I am using the mounting hole for the TO-3P package as a PCB mount, there is a fender washer under the PCB itself atop the stand-off to help spread the load. This PCB could use a few more mounting holes in general…

The washers under the PCB are not touching copper, that was the first thing I looked at, and the washers are sized appropriately.

That said, a layer of Kapton on the washer would not be a bad idea, as belt & suspenders…

I’m not done yet… Currently sitting in far-off place for work for a few more days.

I got the amp running on the bench just before I left, there’s some final clean-up and housekeeping to do, will absolutely try making some steel or mu-metal shields for the signal transformers, as playing around with some metal plates a was making a notable difference, and once it’s all done and happy I might even remove some spades and solder them.

…but probaby not. 😎

(1) The amp puts out 10 wpc... huh? How loud will the B&W go with that? I think that's what ZM means. My SissySIT drives the 90 db/w ANs very well but not loud, it's more of very low noise and dynamic range counting from a useful 65db.

(2) Looking at the audio rack... try the WiiM Ultra, use it as an ethernet/Wifi to USB bridge into your DAC. It sounds really good. I ended up getting three of them.

(3) That's not a Technics!

(4) I Robot... got that. Excellent.

B&W 801 Series 2

1) I dont listen loud at all, it’s a VERY quiet room. (Lots of treatment and isolation) Peaks around 75db are too much for my taste.

2) Will look into it.

3) It’s a SP-10mk3 with EPA tonearm… I think that qualifies as a Technics. 😎

4) Neat album for sure.
