UHF-10 (named by humble self) are the ten most frequently appearing letters appearing in the "Permissible 5 letter guesses" dictionary uploaded by Josh Wardle to git-hub, before the NYT takeover. View the dictionary below. There's a post about UHF-10 in the early pages of this Forum Thread. The dictionary reflects Josh Wardle's idiosyncratic and personal tastes (example: Wardle FORBIDS plural words ending in S! There Shall Be None! Nichts!!) rather than any publicly available source of common American English.

Curiously, Wardle separated "permissible guesses but NOT SOLUTION WORDS" from "permissible solution words". The former is attached below but not the latter.

This separation must have been helpful when he was developing the original Wordle software (??)

Mental blocks. Ever heard of them?
Let me explain.
Final guess on a recent Octordle, one word to go, struggling.
I start to put random letters in there just to see the pattern.
Getting closer.
I come upon a word I'm sure is correct.
APPLY
Except I am pronouncing it as though I was describing the taste of a fruit. APPLEY.
Took near a full minute for the lighbulb to go on.
