SPL is pretty equal in the whole room.
A single sub in a typical room does not have equal response thruout the room. For this very reason we see a minimum of 2 subs very often these days.

Of course it's not equal, but this single fills my room more than enough. I really don't need a second sub.A single sub in a typical room does not have equal response thruout the room. For this very reason we see a minimum of 2 subs very often these days.

Measurements #2
Some very interesting measurements. Lol!
54,7 kg and 218 cm tall.
Paint is finally dry.
Put some adjustable feet under it to set it straight up.
Soldered the connectors and the driver. And done.
Next measurement will be the natural frequencies of the doors and windows😀

Just my opinion, but this is the best DIY sub I've seen, definitely up there at least. Well done, awesome build!
Only way you could make it better, is to build another one, or three or seven!

Yeah, its not only great looking, it uses minimal BS to get the job done. No funny stuff or dog and pony show. All business, so the results should be as expected. And maybe not all funky at the top of the BW. Spiked or void, or whatever people hear or sim (or neither) it seems. its confusing very quickly. Especially if using a sim to do the dirty work instead of the other way around.
Kindof why i jumped off the 6/8th order qw pipe builds and thrills to revisit the offset qw pipe. What ‘really’ happens, and what is heard in transients or dynamic music, not just the one sweep Of the dats or the sim
Of a ‘moment’ with perfect materials assumed and ‘ideal’ math applied in the best general way possible.
‘Tapped’ vs downfired qw port/driver, vs wide open countryside, vs a vented output at A and a direct driver output at B and A-B equals (more than 0.1cm or up to the remainder of a Full wave cycle not already inside the ‘qw’ box?
Its a mess, and confusing, but this design isnt! i inly wish we had the same drivers to compare results. You took another 100 cm, i plugged it up more at the end, lol? i dunno what we did different really? But what could we learn?

Like deep bass guitars.
Yeah, before 'subs' became popular, us few folks that wanted to try to replicate a live musical event used recordings like this one on vinyl as the cassette tapes and early CDs of the day weren't as good to our ears: Superbass - Blue Monk - YouTube
Hey Brian, thanks a lot! Found it.
Look at this graph. I combined the SPL of the driver and the port.
And I put is in comparison with HR also.
PCSoldat, instead of an overlay, can you show only one response with second harmonic selected in REW? thanks
Hey Booger, look at this picture. Is this what you mean?
The design and the measurement next to each other.
In Hornresp the first big dip is at around 75 Hz. In the measurement it is around 65 Hz. In my opinion the shape is 'confirmed', but shifted to a little lower frequency. Mention the same shift at very lows. The vent extends to 13 Hz instead of 17 Hz.
Hey how’s this doing? I gotta do something with a DA umax 15-22 which hovers right around this Hz. is it pretty crazy in the House?
That Umax was my 2nd choice. Don't think it build make huge difference.Hey how’s this doing? I gotta do something with a DA umax 15-22 which hovers right around this Hz. is it pretty crazy in the House?
I am very happy with my sub. I am using it way below it's limits, but it can still shake up my house. This 10" really is enough for me.
It's so nice to discover music of artists that use the very low end; for the happy few that have the system to bring it alive.
Cool! I have a couple tall 23 hz Qw pipes almost like yours(Dayton rss265) , and I agree it’s plenty of strong bottom end all over and makes lots of stuff exiting. 🙏🏻
