We live in paradise. :deer:

Nah, you live on a rock only a few hours from paradise, which makes you think you are in paradise. :)

Chris, tell your wife to be careful with that sun; after all it's a burning hot planet.

And yes, "Space", life is all about space, in the universe, the multiverse.
...And with all the living species living inside and outside of it.

Charles Lloyd is one of my very top favorite Jazz ♪ musicians of all time; a master of his art with a soul as deep as the ocean.

Bob, actually, Sol would be classed as a mid-life, G-type main sequence star - but yah, a lifetime of prolonged exposure to UV is not a good thing
Fortunately, she's recently taken up with a mostly organic Vegan lifestyle, so that'll turn back the clock, and I'll be left behind, or ahead, or something ;)

Did you know that astronomists consider all elements that are not hydrogen or helium to be " metals"? Well, of course you , but I only just read that for the first time today, and now my little CPU is totally overloaded

No, I did not know that Chris; hope she'll take good care of her environment...meaning to not abuse the sun and rain too much, but just the right balance.

Also, climbing high up where the snow is helps to maintain a proper "altitude" life's balance. I know so; I did just that all my life.

* On my way to the ultrasound specialist the other day @ the main Victoria's hospital; I was made aware of heart's expansion and lower blood circulation due to thirty years of mountain's climbing. My feet are dark purple and swollen, and all the nails are no more.

♦ Last night I watched Brian De Palma's 'Carlito's Way' (revisited for x number of times) ::

Last night I revisited this Blu-ray (in 3D) :::

♥ One of the very best picture 3D presentations all around.
...Not for everyone but sure is for me. :)

I have a modest collection of 3D movies on disk. But now can stream 3D from Netflix. Anyway, the 3D affect just keeps getting better and better and more realistic looking.

4K 3D will be amazing.

No. I've got access to any country I want, through Hola, and the 4k stuff just isn't there in any type of quantity yet. It'll be a long time before it is, I'd say.

Tell your son to stop wasting his money on a VPN, for access to US Netflix. Hola (and others) give access to the whole world of Netflix, for free.

Hi Richard,

In the new standard specs of UHD (4K) Blu-ray coming up later on this year, the new 100GB 4K Blu-ray disc won't be accommodating 3D video, as it is not delineated in the specs, very unfortunately. :(

But full hi-def 1080p (2K) is still supporting 3D. ...For how long is anyone's guess because some Hollywood studios are backing down, like Disney for instance who is not supporting 3D Blu-ray anymore here in North America.

It is not a rosy situation right now for the 3D Blu-ray movie lovers like I.
My 3D Blu-ray collection is reasonably extensive @ about 400+ titles.

I never streamed, I have low speed, and Netflix is nil here in Canada for 3D content. ...And Vudu is not available in Canada.

Anyway to find out more about this you can goggle the new 4K Blu-ray standard with the new specifications contented in it.
I follow those type of technological developments closely myself.

Cheers.

"Animal House" -- an analogue for Dartmouth, but highly similar to my alma mater

The first choice for a campus on which to film of Animal House was University of the Pacific here in Stockton. The then-VP of the university decided it might not be good for the image of the campus so he denied the request and they filmed up in Oregon. Said VP is now my father-in-law.
