Time travel: 'Interstellar' ... Christopher Nolan
♦ I might re-watch some David Mamet's flicks soon; I love his scripts. ...Got a bunch on Blu.
{Last night I did not watch any flick; very unusual for me.}
Huge Terry Gilliam's fan, of course. ...And Luc Besson too.
So many great flicks so little time.![]()
Myself and a friend still quote Glengarry Glenn Ross to each other 🙂 "Go to lunch!"
Mamet is awesome. The script combined with the acting in Glengarry Glen Ross make it a masterpiece. House of Games (one of his first) is also well worth the time. He's also been the script writer for some great movies: Untouchables, The Edge, and Ronin to pick a few of my favorites. The car chase scenes in Ronin are some of the best.
In a similar vein, just watched "John Wick" and it was pretty decent fare. Amazing cast with solid performances and enough wit to keep it from being overcooked. Unlike the turkey that was the Equalizer, that was a waste of time.
Haven't seen Interstellar yet but will probably see it eventually.

I post less, but I watched as many Blu-ray movies as if I was posting more. ...Can you dig it!

I saw this the other day ::
It was like a freight train, a fast killing machine (Russians getting shot by the ton loads...over 120 of them).
The guy (Wick) didn't have any choice; they killed his puppy dog that he just received as a gift from his just recently deceased wife.
If you like video games with many kills that's for you. ...Some humorous lines too, to remind us that it ain't like that in real life, but much worse than that. ...Not particularly here but in other countries.
Did any of you guys saw it, or heard about it? ...If yes, share your abdominal impressions.
_________
I also saw this more recently ::
Much much smoother, more relaxed, quiet, peaceful, a walk in the park as compared to that one above, with Keanu.
- There were few more flicks too (revisits), but those two I do remember.
Films are like diy audio/video projects; they project a vision, visually and auditory, for entertainment, for communication, for a message, sometimes.
The stuff we build here (diyAudio) is the stuff we use to play them films, and music recordings...on Blu-ray, on DVD, on CD, on hi-rez/hi-def downloads from the World Wide Web (WWW). ...And sometimes on vinyl (LPs) too. ...And Laser discs.
Don't know too many people diy 8-track cassette tape machines, and VCR playback/recording tape decks. ...You guys know any?
♦ If god would give you all the tools necessary to build only one grandiose audio project, with also all the funds (financial) provided for that diy project, and all the time required included; what would you diy? ...Build with your head, hands and brain.
Take your time, before you answer that one.

John Wick kicks ***!!!! Huh? I'm not into video games or action movies but.... John Wick kicks ***!!! Yes, very nice dog, I was getting myself prepared for the worse...I skipped that killing (didn't have the heart to watch it) and enjoyed (massively) the rest. Oh killing men is much nicer than killing animals.
Huh? And the Continental hotel? How cool was that? Even the porter was cool. Thumbs up.

still waiting for the Tums to kick in, by that time I forgot.
LOL
Is this an abdominal impression?
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
What are you guys building (diy) nowadays, new more developed/advanced and silent power supplies for your preamps? ...C'mon don't be shy now, and you don't have to tell what you have been watching if you think it ain't worth it. 😀
now this was strange, to say the least - made in Canja, - perhaps with some help from the ganja, eh?

Luckily, real people with their 10 % brains
efficiency are way smarter than Lucy at full
dose of blue.
No no, Lucy is an encouragement to take Viagra for the brain. 😀
* Last night I watched 'Whiplash' and the night before I revisited 'Birdman', both on Blu-ray, and both excellent flicks.
...Not as good as 'Lucy' and 'John Wick' but better than 'Predestination' and 'Nightcrawler'.
I usually post picture covers of all the Blu-rays I recently watch, but I was thinking saving some data space here @ diyAudio. Do you think it's a good idea?
You guys saw anything good recently, like the Oscars on TV?
