going through the entire Stone catalog., Bob?
No Chris, just few. ...But Stone is an interesting movie director. ...As you know.

♦ Them last three flicks that I watched :::

Them are not the 'Godzilla' or 'Pompeii' type in 3D.
1. Paul Walker's one of his last. ... R.I.P.
2. Akira Kurosawa (1963). ... Hi/Lo
3. Mafia and the codes ... (Lives discarded - emotionless)

High and Low is amazing. I've been making my way through "The Life of Birds". Might have to search for a better quality version than the poopy netflix SD quality.
Last night, revisited (in 3D) :::

... Great animation with great characters. 😎

Ha ha. I watched that an the sequel. Both great fun movies with heart.
We're in mourning - End of an era: At the Movies hosts Margaret Pomeranz and David Stratton call it a day ... 😉
Hmm, didn't notice that, primarily since I don't watch broadcast/cable tv.
Anyhoo, finished "The Machine" (2013). An indie sci-fi british film. Decent plot and characterization. Well directed and decently acted. Nothing earth-shaking, but time not wasted.

I never watch TV; don't have time to let the world rule my life. 😉
* 'The Machine'; I've seen that flick before...pretty nice looking machine inside a movie which is more or less incandescent.
Waiting anxiously for "Billy Budd" on cable tonight. I wish someone would play "Bartleby the Scrivner" with Paul Scofield.

a pleasant surprise that sorta grew on me:
"The Sapphires"
"based on true events" - always leave one wondering where the artistic license takes over, even when co-authored by one of the main character's real life son
I found Chris O'Dowd's performance particularly endearing.

Chris, I'm going to check on that one, thx. 🙂
* Btw, your picture is quite large; it goes way outside my screen's edges.

...And now it's fine. ...The size, beats me. 🙂

Bob, a bit more here, The Secret of Hanging Rock - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - leaving things up in the air is often more effective in getting a message across, of course ...
I've been there, a very nice spot for a wander - for those who imbibe, an excellent diversion here, Home. The owner was quite passionate about creating a red as a contender for Grange in the quality stakes sense, 🙂.

'Forbidden Planet' is an awesome flick.
