So what will happen with HF in longer horn?
I guess the HF will suffer and the horn will beam more.

There is also a constant directivity JMLC horn without beaming.
Looks nice. 🙂
It's only a concept of low diffraction Smith horn never built. Low horizontal directivity and high vertical. In the same way we could try merge OS and JMLC.

Mayby its better to You to take shorter horn to save BMS 4592ND HF and another larger horn for 300-400 hz or direct radiator in some enclousure.
I go with ONKEN cab.

Hello,
I'm a newbie to horns and I have some questions on the Iwata horns and its use with a Altec VOT system. Can the Altec 291-16k drivers be used with the Iwata 300? If so, what would be the expected performance? Would special mountings be required. The 291 has a 1.4" throat and the Iwata is 2". Would this mismatch be a problem? Any help would be appreciated.
Regards,
David

It accepts all throats from 1" to 2". VOT uses multicell horn? JMLC-Iwata should offer better performance then.
We decided on making Iwata anyway, first samples at AudioShow 2010 in Warsaw, 6-7 November.
Which version will you make?
Frode
Cabinet itself is ca. $500 but shipping with DHL is ca. $750. We haven't found solution for the shipping. No one want handle shipping in US/CA and prices are dearer now - 6 months ago ca. $560 for a pellet now over $800.
