The vinyl reduces sound transmission but won't absorb a lot. IMO, you want a closer match to the other side's panels.
If you are trying to treat the first reflection points of the arrays then the panels really need to be the full height of the array for the best effect.
Hmm... wife is not happy about drapes for some reason. Maybe something like this will have to do.
They're not what I wanted but for some reason, drapes are not high on the WAF scale. Maybe I'll start here and supplement with something else that I'll hide away in a closet until needed.

House is finally nearly done and the shop is more or less in shape. here's most of the drivers getting ready for a little bit of a trim on the tablesaw so I can get 28 in the height required.
Drilled all the driver mounting holes. Then I tried to cut the driver holes but my poor little baby drill press was not up to the task. It was free from a fellow audio DIY-er and I've been shopping for an upgrade anyway so... this Jet is on the way! I'll have to wait a few days for the new toy to arrive before continuing on.
I definitely will be able to get 28 drivers per side. 7 groups of 4 gives me 4.5 ohms which will be perfect for my nCore 400 monoblocks.

I think cutting the tape off the cardboard boxes was one of the worst jobs building the arrays!
Never a bad idea to have a good drill press, aluminium is sticky to machine so the correct speed and lubrication make a big difference.
When you plan the wiring if you will divide the space up consider the series vs parallel wiring schemes that were discussed in wesayso's and my thread. There is a benefit to be had and the more I have thought about it, I could have done it quite easily if I had planned for it.

I don't know that I'll be dividing up the space yet. I'm leaning towards not since I'm planning to cut into my walls to increase the enclosure volume while getting the baffle as close to the corner as possible. And if that's the case, I'll likely be sharing the "wall" volume with the entire array anyway. I could try to do so evenly across the 7 compartments, but that would be pretty difficult.

One of two floor to ceiling line array speaker baffles milled into Swiss cheese to accept drivers. I love the smell of cutting fluid in the evening!
The 3” hole saw rings like crazy though. Enough that I need hearing protection and I’m pretty sure the neighbors are glad I stopped before starting the second one. That said, it got through the first 28 holes without any real problems. I'm hopeful it makes it through the remaining 28 as well although I have a backup if need be.
On a side note, the big Jet drill press I got worked pretty well. I had to reseat the chuck once after I pushed it a little too hard but otherwise, smooth sailing with some cutting fluid and a soft touch.
One more to go and then I need to mill the wood supports/mounting strips and get the drivers mounted/wired up.

Yes indeed. I'll have strips of MLV on both front and back. Also, the wood and neoprene that will be used to mount to the wall will provide some damping/isolation. And I'm not sure how much difference it will make, but I also have rubber o-rings that will go between the driver face and the baffle as well as between the mounting screws/washers.

Got the other side driver holes cut out. Hole saw still going strong. Forearms are sore from deburring both sides of 56 holes.
Also, got the side strips milled out. Need to drill the mounting holes to connect the baffles to the strips and also the holes that will accommodate the screws that go into the walls next and maybe mount and wire up the drivers!
