UGS-muse preamp GB

Who has successfully completed upgrade to ver 2.994?
I just tried to do this but when I power on preamp after successful FW upgrade I got some truncated text on OLED displays and when I try to get into a menu it hangs.
Wondering if there is any trick to do this upgrade as it was previously with clearing the setting or someting like this?

i have updated fine from 2.993(BETA)->2.994

But... a think that maybe Alex didn't mentioned, but did with me when delivered the previous beta is that the settings must be cleared before upgrade.

i think you must revert back to the prev fw, then ERASE the settings from the menu and only then upgrade to the final 2.994.

Maybe it solve your issues.

Alex, sorry to bother you again 😱

i think i found a little thing that don't work as expected.

Using the volume rotary encoder... i saw that if i double press it, it commute the outputs. but, while the first double press is registered correctly, subsequent ones are ignored (i can just hear a very faint click noise), the display is not updated either.

long story short, from volume encoder, just the first double-press is correctly registered as output switch.

Can you, and others that runs dual encoder, verify that ?

thanks

Yesterday I soldered my mcu board and today I uploaded the firmware successfully(the last version) and after that powered it up shorting sw1 and sw2 pins on the encoder connector. To my surprise the oled displays didn’t go on. Doing a few attempts to short sw1 and sw2 for different amounts of time(from 1s to 5s even more) the displays went on but displaying small pixels and turning on/off aleatory. Now they don’t start at all.
In bootloader mode the mcu draws ~30ma and in application mode it draws ~17ma.
I tried also to upload older versions of fw but with no luck, the issue is still there.
I checked also x1 and it’s working.
Can anyone suggest what else should I check?

dnt worry !

thanks, hope to hear from you soon 🙂

I started to work on it and make some basic checks.
It looks ok but still looking at my code I can make further optimization.
I already have a new version that I am going to check extensively to make sure it is ok.
Wrong relay settings can be dangerous for speaker & hears.
Let me try to complete this weekend and get back to you.

i can make you a video showing what exact steps i have done to reproduce that, just let me know 🙂

Today i have found the time :

this is the issue of the double press for the volume wheel

Otp selection with double press

if you listen carefully you can also ear the faint click when not triggers the output change

and this is a new one, never saw it happen but i was able to trigger it by "fast-rotatition" on the input selector wheel.
Long story short, sometime, after a fast spin, if i select a certain input, then it select the next one or the prev one after selection.
here in action :

Input selector bounce after fast spin
btw the menu selector stepping is eight steps change

i am here to beta test any fix you will provide !

thanks again.
M 🙂
