Well that didn't work did it . But I was talking about The Fasting Mimicking Diet.
Basically 5 days of very low calories and almost no protein .

Looks like it might be good, but it's not watchable if you aren't a facepalm member...
Sorry about that will post another one, there are similar videos on YouTube. Still, amazing process this hearing.

Looks promising, thanks.
In my experience, bad sound systems cause hearing 'shut down' that becomes learned and ingrained.
As my audio systems have improved in terms of clarity and lack of nasties, my hearing has improved over time and my outdoors surrounded by natural sounds hearing is now better than when in my twenties.
Dan.

In the summer of 2015, a team at Boston Children's Hospital and Harvard Medical School reported restoring rudimentary hearing in genetically deaf mice using gene therapy. Now the Boston Children's research team reports restoring a much higher level of hearing -- down to 25 decibels, the equivalent of a whisper -- using an improved gene therapy vector developed at Massachusetts Eye and Ear.

I see. Of course you will not provide any personal audiogram measurements to backup that claim😛
I had a sever case of Bacterial meningitis when I was 36 years old. Well known cause of hearing loss. I am now 65 and use a hearing aid in my left ear and nothing in the right. Audiologist said the right would not be helped with a hearing aid. Has anyone had any success restoring hearing after meningitis by diet or meds? Very frustrating but I am still able to enjoy music.
need help
Hey beggar, are you still active regarding a Superphon Revelation II? Need help and input if you would so kind.
I realize this is anecdotal, but my experience with hearing loss and tinnitus after a nasty seizure incident four years ago left me thinking what is gone is gone. Was looking into the hearing aid situation when I was diagnosed with high blood pressure and prescribed Lisinopril. About three weeks after starting the medication (and dealing with side effects) I noticed the stereo was sounding a little better at lower volumes and some treble range frequencies were more noticeable. Also, the wired headset I use with the phone was just about right with the volume all the way down. Now, it is a little too loud. I have no theories or advice except check your blood pressure. Some may have a similar experience to mine.

Utterly hard job, i'm still trying to do it...
I've used many DAWs since 20 years and finally discovered that objectives tinnituses simply produces sounds that don't exist on earth.

hi members ... just dropby and ask ... is it normal for me 31yrs old to have mild hearing loss? thx
How do you mean? High frequency hearing loss starts quite young, unfortunately standard hearing tests concentrate on the speech range upto about 8kHz max.
is it normal for me 31yrs old to have mild hearing loss?
Yes, if you've had exposure to loud sounds.

Some may want to place their names in the queue that's probably rapidly forming to the right..

"“Speech perception is the No. 1 goal for improving hearing and the No. 1 need we hear from patients,” says Frequency co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer Chris Loose PhD ’07."
Speech perception - pfft! Give me flat to 18Khz again, both ears. Take away the tinn while you're at it. Hurry those trials along, wouldya!
"Now Frequency is recruiting for a 124-person trial (https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT05086276) from which preliminary results should be available early next year".
Imagine getting a needle into the cochlea of your ear and...it's the placebo ;'(

"But the good news on FX-322 has been tempered. A Phase 2a clinical trial suggested the drug had not shown any improvement in hearing loss compared to placebo.
That study was conducted on 95 participants, half of whom received four injections of the drug, while the other half received placebos. There were limited improvements in both groups and the company reported there was “no discernible benefit” of the drug in that trial.
Shares of Frequency dropped from $36 to $7 the day the news was announced, and have remained well below previous highs since."

It looks as if we have some "negative Karma" here...
