Why would it? Its the same private commercial company Frequency Therapeutics with the patent on KX-322 that could make them all multimillionaires. They just need one good study. But they did a very good trial already with four injections that was double blinded and well powered. It must have been sickening when it showed placebo was just as good.
Hearing regeneration is very likely to be successful in future. But it needs secure funding for top university researchers over decades.
