TPA3255 - all about DIY, Discussion, Design etc

@Zek
If i remeber for example in JLE construction is comment "do not use power supply with two output"
So i started to interest why? Could You explain something why one of PSU is good for TPA amplifiers and another not.

Sylph-D200 TPA3255 Stereo (Ready to Run) Amplifier Module | jlelectronicsph

Recommended Power Supply
(NOT INCLUDED)
- 36V DC to 48V DC
- Single supply SMPS 350W or higher.
- DO NOT use dual output types!

Where is the problem?

is there an alternative for 3e audio TPA3255 1x480W 1Ch
was planing to build two mono units with balanced inputs
can seem to find a suitable replacement since 3e audio no longer has anything stock

any advice?

You can go for this one, it also supports balanced mode but you need to move a resistor. The OP amps are also updatable in DIP8 socket

Assembler amplificateur de puissance Hifi TPA3255 BTL Mono classe D, 300W C7 36 | AliExpress

If you need a finished Mono Block with a TPA3255 also this one :

We have changed the description to "Do NOT use split rail power supply".

We have a cheaper option TICore400M TICore400M TPA3255 PBTL Mono Single Supply RTR Amplifier Module | jlelectronicsph

With jumpers for Slave, PFFB and BAL/SE. OSC IOM/IOP headers for multi device sharing a single power source.

Dual mono setup almost sound the same as the stereo modules. Though I think the sound stage of the mono is "taller" like there's a speaker on top ceiling. But maybe that's just me...

I'm interested in upgrading the caps in the Aiyima A08 if any (even subtle) improvements? Best to just match the values 4x 1000uf 50V caps or could I increase them? If able to increase, max values? and would I need to change anything else? Should I look at changing any of the other caps? Which caps are recommended? Nichicon KW series...? Thanks so much.
