In a few word, the amp sounds great, bass is sweeter and a bit more focused than other TPA32XX I have (probably related to the Linear PSU). But I still prefer the Aiyima 3251. I also switched the OP Amps on it (OPA1622)
I think that the Zero Zone amplifier is too expansive finally... At the same price, the BRZHIFI is far away better to my ears.

Meanwhile I measured THD @1kHz of WE7443630700 and its ferrocore counterpart. It can be seen that both 7uH inductors are quite similar and excellent, they will not degrade THD of TPA325x significantly. Max current excitation was in the ballpark of +-4Apeak. But the 10uH version shows significantly increased THD level. Measurements were carried out with EMU-PreTracker USB-soundcard, my personal reference latFET-class-AB amp and a low inductive dummy.

If possible measure the output without the LC filter and you will see the real degradation of inductors on THD

They look to be the 7523A type. 4 pin.

The connections to the power supply look funny, have you paralleled two outputs? What is the cap connecting there? Check the voltage while the amp is running to see if it fluctuates

At the first sight seems to be around the op-amps. Without the op-amps in the sockets its totally quiet.

My assumption was that is only one rail but you are right, i should double check before assuming. I will check also the fluctuation.

This is just the Zero Zone board which sells for about £75 in a case with a transformer. Speak with Danny on this thread who has already played with this board. Not one of his better ones from memory !!
I love the fact that they charge more for the version with the Balanced Inputs !! Its basically just a jumper on the board and different sockets on the back panel !!!
Note that your Yamaha does not have Balanced outputs so you would need the RCA Input version.

Am i right to think you need more "power reserves" to give you that "oomph" in the lower regions and that this is just not enough? Ow, and does it have PFFB, i cant tell....?

You should take a look at my reviews. I tested almost all TPA32XX on the market included this one. This is a Zero Zone TPA3255 Board. It sounds great but you have a 50/50 chance of getting the right version... See previous pages on this thread and TPA3251 thread.
I won't take any risk If I were you my friend.... Go for the AIYIMA / BRZHIFI instead or a high end TPA32XX.
About PFFB : I also own the TPA3251 with PFFB and I do confirm what DrMordor said. I compared all my TPA32XX with the one based on 360 Customs design : verdict = at same volume on my DAC, I have about 25% / 30% more power.
I think that one must consider a choice of a TPA32XX in its overall composition. I realized that the choice of components absolutely influence everything with these chips 🙂
