Sinewave inductor have better temperature performance

hello, doctormord, please upload your test photos, maybe someone find the reason.

About indictor, we repalce the original with our indictor , and add load to run, we will retest it again and upload some photos tomorrow.

we have to go home now, our colleagues can not stay office too later today.

About capacitor, it is our customerized type, our factory order over 100thounds this capacitor a month, it is common type.we can order any color we need,maybe different of catalog list,but looks good than orginal.

Friends here find any other questions, let's discuss here, chinese saying: good good study, day day up.

Thanks!

we compare the two inductors again this morning, our inductor have lower fever indeed, we use FLUKE 17B multimeter to test. this multimeter have higher accuracy temperature than IR thermometer.

Sinewave inductor have smaller size

Why the reference voltage adjustment resistors under the transformer? There's also a very big noise.

hello, PPY,

there should no problems under this transformer, without so high sensitivity for the high frequency interference.
continous sinewave signal testing, transformer EE core temperature 65.2oC

it is 24V/4ohm and 2channel output, 288W power out, 10minutes later temperature value

What about a THD vs frequency and THD vs output power plot? Comparing the inductors only for idle temp doesn't say anything about "sound quality".

never worry about inductor staturation,from the output sinewave signal, you can find the THD+N performance if you have enough experience , it is same, or not one channel have burr or raised。

This inductors core materials can run well under 1MHz PWM conditions, our 100Khz sonar amplifier use one 33mm diameter, 190Vpp 1MHz PWM,300W power out, works well.
thia sonar amplifier have 30Khz-100Khz frequency response. it is finalize products, not new products.

but we will use our APx525 to test your mentioned values later.

This statement is a bit of surprise to me. Could you pls post a link to the technical background of this thesis?

Hello Voltwide, one of our colleague design class d car amplifeir about 10years, they compared so many class D and class AB subwoofer amplifier, it is different bass indeed, you can select one same power level ,class AB subwoofer amplifier and one class D amplifer, play same signal, you will find difference. especially 20Hz-60Hz.

of course I have not enough theory to provide this experience now, it is only our experience

hello ,ppy, about DC voltage, we use seperate SMPS with EVM board test again this morning,lucky we found main DC voltae 30V works well, because we have 30V/600W SMPS aside, we use it drive EVM board, test stereo mode works well, not like 36Vdc ,

so we change R17 value to 1K8, main dc is 30V, test G3H with stereo mode, no blink again, it same all ok now.

I think TPA3251 easy protection under 36V main dc conditions,add lower voltage should okay.

I recommand to change the R17 to 1K8.
:yell: :bawling:
THANKS!

Hi Authlxl, do you know what's the 36V easy protection? Is it a high temperature or high voltage protection? Thank you.

Yes I was asking for the theoretical background of that thesis. And if it cannot be measured, it is only opion, nothing more.

Hello, Peter,

We have test the G3H module for a long term with our free time, but we have bigger improvement within last three days, we appreciate the friends here give us so many good ideas and suggestion!

Lucky , we have good result today, we found our G3H module auxiliary power swings when power output over 200W loader.

We find more way to optimized the transformer , some discrete parameters need to be adjusted, and get good result now.

Pvdd=35.6V
Load=2x4ohm/500W resister
Signal=1Khz sinewave

Test reslut:

Vout=24.8Vrms 20 minutes no problem
Vout=25.4Vrms 5minutes no problem
Vout=25.6Vrms 1minutes AMP will hickup, led blink

Calculation

Vout=24.8Vrms Pout=153.76W, Ptotal=307.52W
Vout=25.4Vrms Pout=161.29W, Ptotal=322.58W
Vout=25.6Vrms Pout=163.84W Ptotal=327.68W

We are satisfy with above result, and we have keep all the data, last G3H module after today have above performace.

G3H is our new module, it come from our Hi-Fi engineers hobby, they develop one professional products which use TPA3251 chip and design this module by the way.

We can not believe so many friends like this module,so we have to open this design and improve it performance base on all ideas here, thanks for all the diyer here again!

No more welling to sell more products by this way, only like class D Hi-Fi and have time this term.

May I suggest to open a new thread in the vendor section especially for this amplifier? Would be great not to mix up with the diy thread here, as the discussion about this amp just started. :)

Hello, doctormord, I will have very few time to process the things here from next week. sorry for the bothering .

If friends here have any questions, please send mail to us, tech@csinewave.com, I will reply ASAP.
