pls advice me.
dear Dx,
i need some advice from you. i have attached the dx-turbo image showing to parts of this diagram. one is Side-A and another is Side-B. my question is, this two part how far distance cable i can put on it? there should be some limit to make a distence of the cable connection from part A to B. for classic design sometimes i have to make this two part into diffrent place.
pls advice me. if there is somethings i can do.
thank you and best regards
michael.

Space,
I think maybe you should include the driver transistors with part B. But I'll let Carlos advise since I'm just guessing.

I have never tried TAJ, but it seems sensitivity to current is bigger into the driver
lead then into the output leads...so...if we have to run wires, i suppose will be better to run to power units in the place to run wires to more sensitivity (to current) drivers.
But this is opinion, i have never tested running wires to drivers...so...not sure about that.
No problems Space...but try to avoid wires longer than 3 inches, or 12 centimeters.... if needed more length, then you will need coaxial cable, with the shield grounded... the inside wire will make the connection....BUT.... those cables have big capacitances...this means, capacitances that will connect the input power unit to ground...it is alike that...and this uses to slow down the amplifier.... it sounds a little bit mufled but much more stable, sometimes good sound...slowering down you will avoid a lot of problems we have with wide bandwidth amplifiers.... something to try and evaluate...i have made this once..... was not sure, but so hard beliefs i had that would slow down the amplifier that i started to perceive it as mufled...maybe not.... my beliefs made me think on that...self suggestion....you know.... my mind controling my perception...when perception of differences are not clear enougth, when you do not have A to B comparison available, your own ideas and beliefs will take control of the whole sittuation.

Carlos

change in design
dear Dx and all,
I have made a bit change for long cables. now i have attached the circuit onto the heat sink. so i don't need to make long cabled. all are very short except _+ power line and output cables.
hope for more comments.
best regards

new looks Dx-turbo
dear Dx and all,
I was having problem with the Dx-turbo Box making, since i had attached the circuit onto the heat sink so i made a box today. new looks for Dx-turbo amp. i posted two picture...one when i was making and another is just finished.
best regards

Re: Yes... very lucky..... fastdata... i am not the best designer
Happy birthday Carlos,
I haven't had time to go right through this thread so apologies if this
has already been discussed - Have you tried triple emitter follower for this
amplifier?
I would think it should work well, especially for driving so many OP
devices.
cheers

I had troubles using tripple darlington before.
I had 3 bad experiences and i realised they are a little bit addicted to create oscilations driven by the audio signal.
Reason why i have erased, deleted this kind of output from my life.
Thank you by your nice words about my birthday... very nice.
Well... if you have good experiences and confidence into tripple darlington, you can try your own version... why not?
regards,
Carlos

Re: I had troubles using tripple darlington before.
There is nothing inherently wrong with triple darlington, it's just more demanding on designer skills... 😉

For a nice and kind lady, the "design skills"
Was a little bit strong....ahahahha.... but i will keep my good mood.
Just to clarify a little, the three amplifiers i have tried, using tripple darlington was not mine own designs, they were amplifiers i have found into the internet.
I had not skills enougth to fix.

Carlos

need help
Dear Dx,
i am having some problem. last time when i made two channel its works well, that time i was using two separate power supply by two transformer but when i use one transformer and sharing same power supply it got problem like one channel works and another dsn't, its ocar only if i use any stereo volume control at input for both channel. i use just a simple 100K pot as like i did prec-1. once i attach the 100k stereo pot for both channel, one gets off. if i touch the input, its sound like tik tik (like locked signal) only on one channel and another is showing ok.....what can i do?
thank you and best regards.

Leave the 100k pot for things that need it...
Don't know what your fault is, but for sure get a 10k or 5k pot... it would suit the lowish input impendance of the amp much better
