Great that fastdata.... what model have you built?

They have different sonics.

Dx Standard...huge bass, fine trebles, nice voices.

Dx HRII..... controled bass, not so enormous but very strong, special trebles and nice voices

Dx Precision I.... controled bass, special huge bass around 40 hertz, enormous power, incredible voices and good trebles...could be even better...i could not make it even better...maybe fair.

DHR Turbo.... non controled thunder bass, the sound from the hell, the thunderstorm... the aphocaliptic sound..the Devil's throat!.... excelent voices and special treble... detailed, more focused...interesting result... technically it is worse than Precision 1, but could match or even beat the Precision related sonics.

I like to post my image...because i miss a lot my mum...already dead...but she left her face in my face... and it is alike a celebration to me... my face is almost the same, also hairs waves...it is the way i have to celebrate, to remember my mum.

regards,

Carlos

dear Dx,

i have question about the heat sink. i am using space heatsink as you have seen. i used one channel on it and the temp counted after 1.5 hour is only 33c my amb is now 29. i used one fan into the center. i am now using sanken. should i put two channel into one heatsink? as i have seen there is not much heat on it. it will be looks nice if i can put two channel into one sink.

thank you.

Hi Carlos

ive built the standard, i cant believe you have improved it with
other versions, man you are the best designer!!

my mum is alive and in good health ,thank god, but my father
has passedaway.

are you gona do another version?

regards
fastdata

Yes... very lucky..... fastdata... i am not the best designer

I have a lot of spare time and i use to think on those things all time long... about audio.... maniac... fanatic.... a big passion in my life.

But i can accept i am good in such things, because i do the rigth way i have learned with Mr. Hugh Dean, chairman from Aspen Amplifiers.... do the things listening... AC design must be done and ears will judge quality, use instruments to inform folks the specs...but judge using ears.

I think Hugh may be the best one.... but i am not absolutelly sure as i do not know, very well, and deeply, many others that exists...all i know he is clever, has the rigth way to do the things, has passion and loves to research, and does that all time long.

I cannot show you...well...i cannot show the small and simple circuit Hugh did to detect off set, over current and also an insertion delay time to connect speakers.... gênius... simple, good, almost perfect...he had not used a single resistance more than needed, all functions working great!

The Standard is only good compared to DHR...this one is excelent.

Keep low current into the emitter resistances and of course you can install your second channel into the same heatsink.

When current is very low, your thermal drift problems will be very reduced... do not advance your emitter resistance stand by current, or your heatsink size may turn very deceptive.

The advantage while operating with more current is something that should be tested to allow you to have more experience... give a try to feel the sound....but please... after your tweaking tests, wait the heatsink to be cold and adjust once again to less than 1 miliampere each transistor.... i have tested and this result safe.... other sittuation may turn the amplifier less reliable.

Enjoy your amplifier... and carefull with your ear drum... it can be permanently damaged by this sound pressure..... i think 150 db is easy to obtain in this amplifier... depending how many speaker you use and the room size...it is too much air pressure.. audio pressure.

DX-Trubo pic

dear Dx,

here is the picture of Dx-turbo. sound good...really good...even my mother in law says.

i couldn't find any easy way to doing the box. its still have to do more things. anyway now it is in the box.....fully by hand made and made at home.
