ExpressPCB is free software, made to catch you and send files (only) to them for production

no regular way of exporting Gerbers, so you can use free software and freely chose where to send your Gerbers

I can't say that I'd get around to building this until winter (earliest). However, if additional boards are available, I'd love to have a set of the amp and PSU boards. It would definitely give me room to learn more by attempting to follow the progress provided in the thread. Seeing your documentation and thought process has taught me a ton, and I'd like to see if I could not only build the amp, but play with some of the configuration as you've done and measure the results as I continue to learn.

I have some price quotes from Bittele in Ontario Canada Turn-key PCB Assembly and Manufacturing
who I am likely to use to fabricate the PCBs. Of course, the price per board depends of the number of boards in the order. I have quotes for quantity 15 and quantity 30. Here is an estimate of the cost per board set (2xOS+2xFCFE+1xdualCAP), not including shipping:

• batch of 15: (enough for 7 board sets) $71
• batch of 30: (enough for 15 board sets) $46

Lynn is trying to make the boards as small as possible, removing Diodes and Thermistors, as they can be placed on chassis where there is room.
Keeping the board in the 6" x 7" range allows it to be placed over the 1000VA transformer and not extend into precious chassis real estate.

I also intend to use some of the extra dual cap. boards cut in half for my future prototypes which will be built with the fin-to-fin chassis configuration. That power supply configuration requires narrower single channel cap. boards.

My objective is to allow the PS capacitor board to be placed wherever the resulting power supply related noise is minimized. I am not sure that directly over the transformer is the best place because of strong magnetic fields coupling to the board traces and the wiring to and from the board. I might be better to stack the FCFE board over the cap board, as in the XA25 layout: http://6moons.com/audioreviews2/passlabs3/2.html

Good point. I haven't had an issue with noise in the past, but every build has it's challenges. Surely might be an issue with no feedback.
