Always this stressful twin brother😎. That is a great answer !!!!

If you would eventually upgrade to Toshiba MOSFETs .....
Or wait for this :

Why JFET in FE not packed together?Or wait for this :

Because of the circuit layout.
And we already tested, next to no drift.
No need for servo.
It will be called F5Pi. 🙂

If you (might) want to reduce bias, you need to increase the value of the MOSFET source resistors in proportion.
Happy listening, 🙂

For long term reliability, I would not go beyond 36W for each TO3P.
I know you are still using 22V 1.5A, which is fine.
Just in case you want to go higher rails.
We use 0R62 for the source resistors, if I remember correctly.
It depends on the actual VF of the optocoupler.

Good morning Patrick.
He/ we use FQH44N133... Low ciss...and Low rdson.
And p ch the 9P25N...you know
Not good?????

If it is indeed FQH44N10-F133, then it is not very complementary to the FQA9P25.
For one it has lower Vgs at the same current, but also higher capacitances (especially for a NMOS).
Rthjc is the same at 0.83°C/W, which means that it is not different from the Toshiba's ad the IRFP's in terms of power handling.
How it sounds or measures, you have to judge / find out.
You would need to measure distortion at 2.8Vrms into 8R, at 1kHz and 10kHz (if possible).
The previous test was done with FQA10N80C/9P25. Not really better than old faithful IRFP240/9240.

For a prototype build, any MOSFET combination in TO3P / TO247 package is fine.

Hi Patrick.
Thanks.
I know that these mosfet are not symmetrical because of the different transx. I know it from my M 2. Late they are splitting their power. But in the areas where we use them its not so so relevant. Because we use them Just at 1...2 A. So the trancx is Not so huge.
Not? Is thatNonsens?

Unfortunately yes. 🙂
Just stick to IRFPs, if you want to save your Toshiba's.
Unless of course you like lots of 2nd harmonics, deliberately.
