Best cooked simply (and served with a fresh baguette rather than fries imho).
Bread AND fries was my preferred way. I like version cooked with apples as well which ISTR is served more in the north.
Chicken Thigh quarters on sale for $4.90/# in a 10# bag.
I smoked two, froze two and put four in a brine.
My son and I enjoyed the two smoked with left over beans, potato salad and mac and cheese from the weekend.
It will be interesting to see how the brine works out.

Looks like a tater chip sandwich……I’ve put chips onto regular meat and cheese applications but not stand-alone!
They were Cal.
I put four more on the smoker this morning.
I just bought a second 10# bag of thighs. Going to freeze them.

I don’t think it will surprise anyone to learn that the Crisp Butty and it’s sibling the Chip Butty are the heights of classic British cuisine 😀
What a true abomination. I'm a fan.Made myself a Crisp Butty, adapted to a hot dog roll
classic British cuisine 😀
Not mushy peas? Toad in the hole? Bubbles and squeak?
We first took our sons to England when the youngest was 2, (required a bit of lugging him around). What they liked best were the breakfasts with bacon, sausages, fried tomato, very well done eggs and brown beans on toast!
Their favorite restaurant in London was a Lebanese establishment with fish swimming in the bath-tub of the restroom.

Is that made with Champagne?Bubbles and squeak?
Could be an interesting variation on the recipe🙂
That name is custom made for something along the lines of what you speak. I knew a girl named Bubbles once who was very bubbly and young enough to...
..alas I digress.

Don't forget the fish finger sandwich!
Come to thing of it, growing up I would wrap a slice of plastic white bread* around almost anything.
*For the true horrors of the british white sandwich loaf read here Chorleywood: The bread that changed Britain - BBC News
But white flour did have to be fortified so did contribute to a general health improvement in the 50s so not all bad.
Country fried pork chop (bone in) white bread sammich with a slice of green fried tomato and a few bread n butter pickles……..oooh yah!
Of course, the classic.Don't forget the fish finger sandwich!
Comes to remind me of something in Australian cuisine, the humble snag. A piece of white bread with the cheapest sausage you can get. You bet it's good..Come to thing of it, growing up I would wrap a slice of plastic white bread* around almost anything.
Why do my attachments turn up upside down unless I open them in paint, rotate 180 degrees twice, save and attach them?
I don't know as I'm on a Mac. Sometimes mine will show up 90º off in the thumbnail but rotate to correct when you click on it.
