If there is more interest with those boards, I could make another run. Just send me an e-mail showing your interest ( A30 boards as subject). It has to be at least 20 pcs total.
I didn't abandon input module board project for AlephX, it's just that presently I'm tied up with manufacturing Patek amps. If those are done, I will have more time for more personal projects.

hello peter
Just take it easy with the X-input bords - I was not intending to push you in any way - after all, one has to put butter on his bread ;-) ....although I have doubts about how much "butter" you can make on the patek amp, considering the amount of work it looks like you put into the amp - it does not really resemble a "one hour piece of work" if may be so humble...!!!
Keep it up !
Cheers !

Since I'm still receiving inquiries about A30 board, I decided to make another production run (however, in smaller qty than previously). This raises the price a bit, so the the board containing 2 channels is $25 now (2 pcs. or more $20/pc), shipping included.
Please send me an e-mail (subject: A30), and I will provide payment info. If enough payments are collected this week, I will have the boards available in two weeks from now.

Looks beutiful.
And, looks very crowded in a small area, any merit by making so. . . ?

Peter, do you think your board will work with the updated J-fet mod? I haven't had time to read through all the threads but Nelson's recent article on power J fets got me interested again in the aleph design. I am assuming that the inputs are also j-fets.
I have built the Aleph 1.2's back in 2000 and they run hot but I never tripped the heatsink thermistor. I measured my heatsinks right around 50 degrees C, They are giant amps with all the heatsinking, 2kva tranny and 8 20k-75w caps C-L-C supply. thanks, dave

Re: A30
To paraphrase the famous quote: "Everything should be made as simple as possible, but no simpler" , I tried to make the layout as big as required, but no bigger 😉
Anyway, it seems like this is the best sounding Aleph I've built so far, the small board size allows easier integration as well:
I'm not sure about that, but if it's a regular Aleph configuration with just different devices and maybe few other parts changed, it might work.

Wow. looks very special. I like it.
By the way, in general Class A DIYers are to consider the heat and its efficient distribution. For whom wants to make the chassis like the original A30 shape, probably, the layout might be too much centralized.

In that case they can always attach mosfets with short wires and spread them evenly on the heatsink. The board has mounting holes and can be independently mounted with the screws.
More details on the (pictured) amp construction can be found here: http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?postid=612972#post612972
Here's the closer look at the boards: http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?postid=610533#post610533

Ah . . . wires.
My head is too hard. Whenever I see PCB, I always no think of wires. 😀
Good luck.

Just to refresh the subject, the boards are available again.
Juat sent you an e-mail Peter. I will take two boards....Great work on this very thoughtful design!

Nope, the Aleph-J has Hitachi (or Toshiba) J109 (If memory serves me!) dual fets in the inputcircuit. (two small fets in a single package) Otherwise it might be as an Aleph. That little device has 7 legs, pretty close together😀 I dont think you can pop that into Peters boardsdo you think your board will work with the updated J-fet mod?

Steen🙂
It was actually this thread, that Mark started: http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=51421&highlight that motivated me to start another Aleph project. 😉
If you don't have paypal account, you can send cash (in a letter). When properly packed, it is pretty safe method.
Peter, I sent you an email regarding ordering some a30 boards, but haven't heard back. Are some still available?
Hastur said:Are some still available?
As mentioned in previous posts, those boards will be available again. I'm collecting orders during this week, and depending on the interest, I will order certain number (of boards) this Friday.
So, if somebody missed it previously, now is the time 😉
I also have a stock of 0.47R, 3W resistors if somebody needs them.
