Tannoy 3134 DC ZM-induced purchase, service and repair

I will check, but I bet same producer can supply both types. Question then is amount.

I got one tweet with ff with the drivers. It was produced in 2006 and supplied by the Norwegian importer at the time.

Nick @ Lockwood has succeeded in getting the last three tweeters from Tannoys stock, and I will get one of them. They are normally sold with ff, Nick is double checking this. Price was 165E.

so, in short (I know that, but want to repeat, just to repeat how much :cuss: :deerman: you are  ):

- you bought pair of 3134 in so-so shape, both tweets fully operational, plus one spare tweet assembly
-then you found what's wrong with bass units, one bass magnet, and then you ooked one tweet while messing around
-then you did learn some Voodoo, fixing everything what needed to be fixed, but also decided to obtain one tweet assembly for spare, to prevent yourfunnyself to ook any in future

everything so familiar, perfect recipe :clown:

I did not get it yet, but I am trying to decide whether to buy 1 or 2. now, since the mags are different (also, mine do not have screws, the plastic part is «loose» until magnet is fastened to basket magnet assembly, I will only buy one. But it still needs to be confirmed that the part fits, so I will do some more checking today.

Ferrofluid news is coming up, and more will come later, focusing on tweets. Thanks to chromenuts who with his shining balls kept that part of the restoration alive!

News will contain preliminary list of drivers using a specific FF, amount per spec and also per experimentation, and possible sources og the black juice of sweet highs.

Master MZM playing a role? Of course! Omnipresent! And omnipotent silly moi taking the bait :santa:

Damn greenhorn bastards!!

...........

Nick @ Lockwood has succeeded in getting the last three tweeters from Tannoys stock......

:cuss:

that you get when Yuppies got speaker producing company

btw. for anyone interested in Pepperpots, I found last year on fleabay that Lockwood is having produced replacement diaphragm assemblies, adequate for use on practically all Pepperpot drivers, just with different number of paper ring shims
and price is OK, considering prices and scarcity of second hand ones
