BP1Fanatic just saw your post. It sounded great while it was in the car. Went to a competition earlier this spring and it did 145.9 dbSPL at 42 Hz on 14.5 volts fused at 60 amps. It's in my living room now though as I gave that car to my brother but it sounds every bit as good there as it did in the car. It doesn't get low enough for true home theater use but for music it is amazing. I have a 15" Dayton classic in a 12 cubic foot enclosure port tuned to 17Hz for movie time though...
My first subwoofer build. Two Eminence lab 12s in 70l sealed boxes.
They still need to be painted.

They are slewmasters:

I started building the amps first using some spare parts, then I realized that I didn't need any more amps, so I built the subs to put them in service.
800VA tranny and +-70V rails.

The Safewoofer
Been a while since I've posted here, but I've got another one for you all...
Dayton 12" Reference HF driver + a repurposed mini-safe. I got the safe for free and discovered it was the perfect internal volume for my driver (which I also got at a reduced price). Ripped the door off with some elbow grease and a crowbar. The Dremel tool attempt turned out to be futile. It sounds really great! The enclosure is totally dead due to the ~2" thick walls. Has anyone else seen a subwoofer made out of a safe? I searched but came up empty.

Seems like a great build. What amp and auto room correction is it? How many measurement points you use? Does it take into account main speaker bass output when calibrating?
Yes it is.There are 3 main measurements points, LPF and HPF.
