I should make a correction to that comment:
The real Sony's have a ring around the bottom, the fake parts are flat or have a shape like the one shown in the photo.
In both pictures, the real part is on the right.
That's great news then .
Thanks Mike 🙂

Soundhappy, you have the same lab PSU's as I,
you can limit the current of those to say: 0.6 - 1.0 Ampere.
That way you can never blow your precious diamond 🙂😀
@ WalterW and Diyers
After Vgs DUT Vfet schematic i try mesured Vgs but voltage across 1R don't change
if i tourn trimmer it is because limit max 1 A the current on psu or something else ?
Thanks for your answer 🙂

? strange, do you have voltage across the 1 Ohm resistor? Say 1 Volt then the current limiter is doing it's job. Or don't you measure any voltage across the 1 Ohm?
Pictures maybe?

Thanks Mike 🙂
Everything from Acronman CircuitDIY is the real deal.
I bought the fake parts from shifty Ebay sources 🙂
Pictures maybe?
@WalterW
That my chance WalterW you are on line 🙂
Voici the pictures with voltages connections verified ok.

Hm, I don't have money for fake parts.
Actually, I don't have even for genuine parts.
I must have had to buy new tyres for my car.
It had two uncomfortable car rides, up to the hilt worn winter tires, in heavy rains.
So I promised myself when I get home safe and sound, to buy tires for the car.
There are priorities, unfortunately.
After all so I will have a chance to build something, in the future.

I see only 1 LAB PSU, where is the other?
Oops i have only one lab psu but i can build quickly separate bias circuit
with 15 v transformer ,bridge, caps , 7912, resistors 😀
Is ok ?
Yep, but 12 volt from 7912 can be too low, or better use two 9 volt batteries in series for the bias, much easier.
Psu have (+) and (-) polarity green ground was in my interpretation (0) point on schematic but ok i was wrong...
so now i need separate 19V bias (-) and other19V (+) on drain yes ?
What is (0) point ? Common of multimetre yup ?
Thanks WalterW

Hi Soundhappy, It looks like you have the bench supply set to constant current mode instead of current limiting which is limiting the voltage to 2.1V. I am not familiar with that supply so could be wrong.

Soundhappy try it this way:
@ WalterW
Thanks a lot

All is clear so i limit current on psu to 1A to protect vfet dut.
0V is (-)(+) node point not common of multimeter or something else
i was " funny" 😀
Yes i try this one with better understanding.
Good evening

🙂 Good evening!
I'm leaving for holidays tomorrow, hope they have WIFI in Croatia, so I can read the forum in the evening, when kids are to bed 😀

Hi Walter,
When the kids are on bed, Drop the Wifi and do something else...ha ha ha😀😀😀... Enjoy your Holiday...
BTW...my another lab PSU arrived and just waiting for the heat sink and Im good...
@ Soundhappy....be careful in matching, make sure you have the Vgs set to max before you turn on your main PSU...
Cheers..

Hi,
did anyone try these?
Aliexpress.com : Buy SONY 2SK82 V FET from Reliable fet transistors suppliers on Eternal HONG's store | Alibaba Group
Are they fakes?
