Keep in mind I'm new to building and I'm just playing. I haven't measured anything yet, I'm enjoying going by ear and when I have a chance I'll do measurements and go from there.Hi @Superchunk,
i was wondering if you could share with us some info about the crossover, active / passive fc / peq?
Many thanks in advance, Stefano
So I have SB Bianco sw450, JBL 123a and realistic super tweeters I'm using a vintage pioneer that sends the lows to a minidsp 2x4hd which then splits the Bianco and the JBL. The sonido runs off the mid and the realistic off the high of the pioneer.
The sonido is low cut at 250 with a 6db slope and 8k with a 6db slope.
The JBL runs from 80-500 with 12db. My simulations didn't suggest I would be having the JBL and sonido crossed so strangely but it very obviously sounds the best.
So for the sonido there is no eq, it's purely passive. The lows are boosted.
I gotta say, for all the talk about bass and open baffle, with eq it clearly isn't an issue. I've never had bass so deep from stuff like JL audio e112. No to mention how much better it sounds.
Hi, would you be able to tell me the voltages for your power supplies? I don't know what the actual voltage if each setting is.Sorry, but I would like to correct you. This is SWR 200/FC drivers.
I want to correct it, it's not the voltage of the power supply, but the current. The current value is set depending on the desired speaker parameters. That's why current (not voltage) is so important, because the field coil gets hot and thus the resistance of the field coil rises (increases). If you give me the serial number of your driver (and it is handwritten on the magnets) , I can specifically determine it.
Sorry, but I would like to correct you. This is SWR 200/FC drivers.

Hello,
I saw someone ordered driver without whizzer cone.
I would like to know if you have any opinions and how it measured.

I meant that there was custom made without whizzer.

If depends on where you want to apply the driver, with a whizzer ot is a full range driver and without a whizzer it is bass-and-middle range driver.
Sound cannot be explained in words, you have to listen to it.
Hello Ishtvan,
Left picture is not but right picture is mine.

Beautiful driver.
What is the difference for new version?
And the box have vented hole or open behind?

Field Coil drivers - is excellent superiority sound quality!
And the superiority of these speakers is that with their use you can get high-quality, absolutely clear sound. And also this speake rs can be used in 4 tipes of box.
We have several models of these speakers and each model has its own technical parameters and features, depending on thier application and the use of the selected design.
This box has a vented hole, I provide a drawing.
