Nice looking pub there tobydog. Not sure it's my kind of place though. I didn't see any duct tape on the seats and it looks like the spilled beer gets cleaned up right away.

When I was a boy, I'd head off to the British Council library to get a Heath Robinson book, then to the American library attached to the US Consulate for some Rube Goldberg. 🙂
I don't know if the two men were aware of each other's body of work, but Robinson seems to have started drawing his signature cartoons several years before Goldberg.

I read that Heath Robinson's name was included in the dictionary from 1912 as a synonym for absurd, ingenious and over-complicated makeshift devices.
The use of Rube Goldberg's name for the same purpose dates from 1928.
