Slewmaster - CFA vs. VFA "Rumble"

Bill of Materials for each PCB's

Has anyone completed a Bill of Materials for each of the PCB's? Both OPS and IPS? If not, point to the right sections of the thread and I will attempt to build
a spreadsheet for each PCB's. I can also add each builder's unique builds in these
sheets. Let me know. Take care.

mrsavage,
That would be real nice but the problem as I see it is everyone is using different devices and combinations of devices and each implementation has had to be tweaked to run correctly. So for each different input and output section you would have to show multiple boms and the instructions to get the bias and other things to work for each combination. It would be nice if we could settle on a few or even one great implementation for each different input section and the same for the output boards with easily available parts that will not become obsolete or unavailable in the near future.

I have stated that I want to use the Krypton-C and Slewmaster output board for a commercial product and would love a bom I could use and make thousands of them hopefully and not have to change the components after 6 month because some device isn't available after that. I need a standard to shoot for that can stay consistent for a fairly long time I hope.

jwhilhem,
That would be great to go with the surface mounts wherever possible to shrink the size of everything. I guess I would have to pay someone to do a board layout that takes advantage of surface mount devices mixed wit the device in the output section that will still be thru-hole devices. There is no way I am going to solder serial numbers of these boards so I will have someone do that commercially for me so surface mount would be no trouble for someone else to do that does that. My eyes say no way for me to do that.

I also want something very small to drive a dome tweeter and something the size of the original VSSA from Lazy Cat would sure fit that section. I need to fit everything and a power supply inside of a self powered speaker, that is going to be a trick for sure along with the xo and any dsp type circuits. I will surely need help to package this all into the space that I will have.

Simple guide for choosing resistor2 and capacitors type:
- Capacitors for compensation: silver mica or ceramic NP0/COG
- Capacitors for decoupling power supply: ceramic X7R
- Capacitors for input coupling: MKP
- else: can be film MKP, MKT, MKS, MKM, etc

- Resistors 1/4W and 1/2W: 1% metal film
- Resistors > 1W: 5% carbon or anything that have low inductive

Hello.Been away for some time.I read that there have been some changes in parts value in Kypton C IPS. Mine is based on files from post #4729 .what values have been changed and why?was there a stability problem or something else?can you post final schematic? my kypton c is based on this schematic below :

R6 should be 220R. Here's the latest schematic.http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/solid-state/248105-slewmaster-cfa-vs-vfa-rumble-633.html#post4210879 Resistors in the VAS section need to be tuned to your application too.

Schema will work as is... But R6 should be <1K and R8 can be optionally
eliminated. Servo will work better here.

VAS emitter resistors (R22/27) and Zener regulator dropping resistors might
have to be fine tuned for whatever rail voltage , that's all.

NO stability issues whatsoever !

Is your amp keeping your house warm? I saw in the news some poor old lady was frozen to the ground down there.

yeah , I think that's a shame. I wonder where the "southern hospitality" is when
you let your neighbor's freeze to death ?? 🙁
They are not used to this stuff , no northface coats or any sense of extreme cold.

No , my amp barely even gets warm with the house shaking. I could get the
MT-200 a bit warmer with overbias , but still not HOT ??
