DEFiSIT (my spelling) uses the depletion mode Semisouth part - SJDP120R085, not the enhancement mode part that all the other amps use (SJEP variants).
If you are blessed with SJDP parts then you have a chance to build Papa's flavor.
That probably helps with my "unsuitable" speakers. I assume it has more to do with the DEF output stage than anything. More vibrant, more spooky, more texture, more interesting, more realism, more fun, and some other "more" words I can't think of right now. How's that for a review? 😀
DEFiSIT** may be made with SJDP, but Real McKay is made with Papa's SIT-1 part, same as all SIT-3 amps
though, whoever is having SJDP by chance, I'm interested to buy a pair, to try it in SissySIT - it'll fit as glove

Well if you are building a new house and forward thinking you might as well have at least one or two dc sockets in each room with a master power supply next to the fuse panel. Car wiring now uses just a power bus with switching done at the end.

I have had problems with noise with every amp I have owned, until I got the V-fet P-channel amp. I think it is because of external brick, or maybe NP's noise filter for said brick.
