Hi amigos,
There is an easy way to mount any square pins adapter to a DIP8 socket, checkout :
I have some OP amps soldered with Square pins adapters as well and I could install it on any TPA3255 module :
Diymore – adaptateur de prises IC 2.54MM, 8 broches, DIP 8 8DIP, Type a souder, 50 pieces/lot | AliExpress

You are right that the square pins are too large for the sockets and will very easily damage them so normal chips will be too loose.
The adapters you found on Amazon are almost certainly too big to fit in the space provided for the Op Amps on most boards.
The small adapter cards are really the only solution but must be used with round pins -These are .5mm in diameter.
.
Thanks for your confirmation. I am too scared to try it again on the amp now, so I'll give the round pins a try when my new board arrives.

As most of you here know here there are Many models of this amplifier on Aliexpress and elsewhere. Rather than hunting through all these posts(too many) here trying to find the model I need. My requirements are:
a. I need this amplifier to power my subwoofers in push pull mode, ie 2 channels powering 2 subs for one channel. SO I need 2 amps( 4 channels total) for stereo mode.
b. so I need this amp with a high current and high power output.
Please recommend me a model or models in which I investigate further, additional mods by me is no problem. Also, recommend matching 48Vdc switching power supplies as well.
Many thanks.
No one assisting me here, I thought most people here on this forum are very helpful. Well, I am wrong this time. Really it only a few lines of explanations and take a few clicks to direct me to those threads to explain what you mean. Cheers have a good day.
If I am not wrong you asked the same in another thread ? And I answered you with a link to a 4 channels TPA3255 module that support Balanced + unbalanced mode )

Thank you for the tip. I ordered a set as well.

no in my opinion do not change anything on the card, it sounds good as it is, there is no need to change anything ... even changing the OPAMP the difference is minimal, perhaps the only change that can give a little more ... if you want to hear differences you have to change chipamp
Hi,
I share with you the effect of the OP Amps update on the 3E Audio TPA3255 finished amp. Rolling some new OP amps can help and improve performances.
I imagine the reasoning can be repeated for the other TPA3255 modules
The LM4562 is a Bipolar OP amps, should be nice to see VS the OPA1612 (Bipolar as well) but checkout :
OPA1612 has slightly better specs than an LM4562 > less noise and distortion, faster, and more output voltage swing.

OK fine thanks daniboun, so it is confirmed that by changing the original OPAmp you have better electrical performance, but on the sonic performance side you don't expect miracles
A big difference!!
That s right. The TPA3255 chip is great chip and can achieve amazing performances ! all components around this chipset makes the difference.
You will be able to see what I mean soon with the next Allo TPA3255 )

I confirm, also the opa 1612 is really good ...
But, they are expensive ....
But they are worth it.
More expensive than the Shui Yuan TPA3255 board itself ...
But it's worth it ! The sound is very analitic, chiruchical ...

Bought mine @ 9 euros / each with the DIP8 adapter already soldered.
Trust me if you like the OPA1612 you will love the OPA1692 !

Strange comparison for Audiosciencereview, are they as careless as others?
Maybe Audiosciencereview can review their comparison, like they "measure" reviews of other sources, or maybe they already did ? Where can we source the comparison ?

I would answer the following :
As per THD+N + Noise : theoretically, the performance of the module is improved and as you can see the impact is not minor )
I don't know what do you mean by Sonic performance ?
If you ask this eternal question to a Class A enthusiast, he will probably answer you that the measures are not a guarantee of musicality ... and that the sonic performances are therefore better with the Class A...
I have an allegory concerning OP amps: OP amps are to class D what tubes are to class A. Even if theoretically this is not true.
But you can change a "sound signature" with a OP amps updgrade )
